Many years ago on a lovely sunny day, I was stood in a Cheshire field at a DTL shoot talking to an old guy in his late 70's. Stood next to us was a couple of blokes deep in very a loud conversation about another guys S06. What they didn't know about that S06 !!! They would have but Beretta to shame. The old guy said to me "you know lad there is only one thing worse than a pseudo expert and that's a pseudo expert who butts into other people business giving his unsolicited opinion when he wants to show the world how little he knows". Hello I am new to this so I would apprecaite any help I recently bought a multi choke Silver Pigeon 30" SPIG.SP a 12 Gauge used, but like new, for a good price. Owner said only 300 carts put through it then locked away. Trouble is I don't know how old it is or what model 1 2 or 3 etc and what the barrell marks mean. The gun was originally purchased from Bywell Shooting Ground and came in a cardboard box, not the usual ABS case, the box is in good condition but looks years old. The Barrell markings are EXCELSIOR HIGH STRENGTH ALLOY STEEL KG 1 530 18 I guess the 1530 is the pressure tested to but 18? is that tested at 18" along the Barrell? SAH 76 18 No idea what this is 12g 23/4 and 3" shot shells Can take 2 3/4 AND 3" Carts I guess ? 29 1/2" Barrell length I guess? Serial M325606 Forend serial M32560B Thanks
