Why can't the guy just answer the question, doesn't matter if it was 1 or 100 ? The fact he hasn't done this implies that it was a wasted day. Pigeon shooting is carried out for crop protection...shooting a handful is not doing the required service. When I get called out I am out to shoot as many as possible, if not farmers will get somebody else and who can blame them. You were happy with 1 bird ..easily pleased, I would have been very disappointed . I know it happens but stop pretending you were happy when really you weren't, nobody goes out shooting to blank 🤣

Intuition tells me it was a bad day with little shot. The fact that nobody took up your offer speaks volumes. Well done for offering the chance but think I will give it a miss 👍

I am a realist and am pretty certain the day was a bad day. Who doesnt count what they have shot .....noone I know.

I shoot when I want , if theres a job to do I do it. People can complain as much as they want , plenty of stuff pees me off and theres nothing I can do about it. Carry on and dont be dictated to I say.

Seeing as it stopped raining I decided to sit on a barley stubble. Not much traffic but nice to be out anyway. The woodies that were flitting about wouldn't decoy so had to shoot passersby with 1 dropped stone dead at 62 paces 😁 In contrast the carrion crows decoyed great using the Primos .

The Franchi I looked at was nice , very pointable , lighter and the trigger was sweet😁

They are a marmite gun you either love or hate them I think...but after my bad experience not for me. Anyway back out last night for a few hours with my old trusty sxs ...what a pleasure shooting it after the other disastrous day with the Hatsan. Nice and light and pointable, only shot 11 woodies and 4 crows but what an enjoyable session as the birds were mostly taken at around 40 - 50 yds. Not a big bag but very enjoyable.

I must have had a faulty one as it was like trying to pull the trigger with the safety on. Anyway will not have another ...the old saying you get what you pay for springs to mind.

Thanks for your comments. The only way to describe the trigger was , you needed to hit it with a Hammer to fire , absolutely awful. I dry fired the Franchi and a Browning and they were leagues apart.
