Gun returned today for a full refund. Now thinking of Franchi Affinity....anyone any comments ?

I bought a new Hatsan Escort today and took it out tonight to familiarise myself with it. Well I was very disappointed as the trigger is so heavy its impossible to shoot with it. So it's back to the gun shop tomorrow. Anyone else with this gun ? How is your trigger ?

My wife knows better, she knows once I'm out I return when I'm ready, nothing worse than being on a time limit.

Only period with 2 dry days , it's been raining for a month and forecast for the next 2.

I am 56 and still sometimes shoot for up to 12 hours . If the birds are about I will stay to the end. I cant seem to pull myself away , rather sit in the field than at home.

Barley was cut yesterday so I was set up this morning at 5am in anticipation of some corvids. Had a bit shooting for a couple of hours then it just went dead. Not the numbers that usually hit this field but maybe haven't found it yet. Shot of the day was a woodie that came from behind and seeing as the shooting had stopped now I let off an instinctive shot and was amazed to see it drop at 64 paces , well chuffed with that shot. Also bagged an opportunistic squirrel that showed himself in a nearby oak tree 😁
