  1. Not really sure what size Shaun4860 as the large jacket (smallville) fitted well, but the shop 'thought' i would need a xl as rusky material thicker cheers for link
  2. Hi all I an looking for a Deerhunter Rusky Jacket, went in a shop who said they could get me one and as i was unsure of what size i needed i tried on a large and X/large Deerhunter Smallville. Well the Large fitted nice and i didnt feel comfortable in the XL which felt too big. Well this is where the confusion set in as i was told i would need the XL as they are thicker material. I would have thought that if i am a large i would need a large whatever Deerhunter jacket i chose. Has anybody come across this before, any help would be appreciated. They now tell me the Rusky has been discontinued but i brought some Rusky trousers recently. cheers Smokey p s I went to the shop as i wanted to make sure i ordered the right size.
  3. Next year buy all white ones ( make a fortune) LOL Merry Christmas Smokey
  4. Well done on the foxes TEH, i can see where your mate is coming from as i have a similar problem, i am used to shooting from the roof or bonnet of a truck with a sand bag of corn under the butt. I can honestly say i have never shot of sticks before, mind you we are always either sitting up or lamping from a vehicle. My other concern is i have an AIC stock on my rifle as well so that might make it a bit harder, but i did try my mates rifle on his sticks the other night and was very surprised how steady it was, so tell your mate do as i'm going to do have a go at a few rabbits, hit them, sky high confidence toby no probs, be positive. all the best Smokey
  5. Well done on the foxes, Simon/ driller, do you not ever sit out anytime find a safe position and wait for them to show up, we have a good bit of success just sitting out and waiting surprising how many on the move well before dark. Sounds like you got plenty about, i sometimes cover my truck with my pigeon shooting nets sit on the spare wheel, range a few points, rifle, bino's on the roof ready for any customers, Good shooting and nice rifles all the best Smokey

    Cap Wanted

Hi all Last year i brought the Jahti Jakt classic hunting suit. I have lost the cap, i dont like the one they sell seperately called the Sotka reversible. If anybody has brought the classic and dont wear the cap, would you sell it to me. many thanks Smokey
  7. + 1 Top bloke is Steve, cracking job on mine and my mates + quick turn around time cheers Smokey
  8. Hi Everybody Has anybody got, used or any info on the sniper cam, have been told that i would get shot of my N750 if i got one, which i find hard to believe. I am on the lookout for a spotter to use with the N750 which incidently i have added a NM800 IR+ a Sony lens and am very impressed with it. The question is are they any good, what range can you identify clearly at, can you use on high mag scopes mine starts at 8X. Are they ok for CF rifles, apparently they dont fit on all scopes. Any info will be much appreciated. Cheers Smokey
  9. Hi all Finally got my N750 with the nm800 fitted on my rifle, now its finding a slip to put it in, length not a problem but they are so bulky. What do you use, any suggestions will be much appreciated Cheers Smokey
  10. Look funny with that on your head
  11. Hi 308win, i have got the 8x32x56 LRMD which i use mainly for sitting up and under the lamp, also tried on abit of long range target shooting, absolutely awesome scope for the money. I had a S&B 8X56 on before that and havn't look back so that itself speaks for itself, (my opinion) even in low light there's nothing in it. Give John at Aimfieldsports a call cracking chap to deal with or maybe Fister off the forum will give you a bit of feedback as he knows his stuff and i think he tested a Sightron or two. ATB Smokey
  12. Hi all Just ordered a Pulsar 750, and wondered which doubler lens to get, the Dr Bob or the Sony, any feedback would be much apprieciated, Many thanks Smokey
  13. Hi all Probably been asked before but which Spotter do you use with your night vision, thinking more of the N750 pulsa range. Thanks in advance for any feedback Cheers Smokey
  14. Hi all I am Looking for a pair of heavy duty beating trousers, has anybody got a pair of Jack Pyke countryman trousers or do i go for the Deerhunter more expensive pair. Many thanks Smokey
  15. Bloody hell just what i want and on my doorstep typical
  16. Olliesims Before you splash out check out the Sightron range from Aimfieldsports, give John a ring, top quality scopes for alot less money than the Swaro, Zeiss, S&B's etc. I took my S&B 8x56 off my 243, swapped it fora Sightron 8x32x56 LRMD but apparently the 6x24x50 is very good, i just went for a little bit more mag because if you aint got it you cant use it and also ive been on 24x cranked it up a bit awesome Good luck with whatever you choose as there is so much quality out there but often with a heavy price Smokey
  17. Brought some for my Browning no complaints here top top service ordered mine late thursday afternoon arrived sat morning Smokey
  18. Yes Elmer, its front mounted and i think your right about re- zeroing thats why i want as much info as possible before i splash out cheers
  19. To be honest Elmer, i fancy the DFA so i could swap it about but dont really know that much about them or even seen one, but if you need a 3x mag then i'm not so sure thats really why i posted the topic in the first place for info from people in the know. is the 750 much better than the 550 there,s another query cheers Smokey
  20. Cheers for that Paul very interesting, be no good on my Sightron then as its a 8x32x56 and no better on my S&B as thats an 8x56 thanks for the info Smokey
  21. Cheers for that V8 90 My mate has only just got his 750 so not really had a chance to have a good look at it yet, my other mate is still waiting for his DFA so i was waiting to compare before splashing out. Ye your right i popped round earlier to have a look at the N750, he's got a dr bob and a nm800ir on his Sako Quad hmr at the mo and now he's had a play with the contrast / brightness modes he says its absolutely awesome. Many thanks for your feedback Smokey .
  22. Hi all The question is which one to buy Iv'e decided to push the boat out and purchase a Pulsa but which one. Do i buy the 750 and put it on my 243 or stick it on my 17hmr. The thing is iv'e not long brought a Sightron 8x32x56 which is awesome both under the lamp and long range target shooting which i'm starting to really enjoy. My shooting buddy has got an Longbow Archer, an N750, a Sightron 10x50x60 + a thermal imageing monocular on the way so iv'e got lots of options when were out but as i'm sitting out alot more now i thought shall i get the DA 75 and swap it about or shall i get the 750 and put it on my 17 and have a bit more shooting sitting out on the bunnies and hope charlie comes in a bit closer. Thanks in advance for any feedback cheers Smokey
  23. Hi all I dont know why but, i cannot understand WHY Sightron Scopes do not get mentioned more often when someone is looking for a Quality Scope but are unable to go down the Swaro, Zeiss, Schmidt etc route. Both myself and my shooting buddy have got Sightrons with him got the 10x50x60 and myself the 8x32x56. We now do a bit of everything from sitting out in low light, lamping and also have a bit of a play at long range target shooting. Some may think its a bit over the top when theres the 6x24x56 would do the job with perhaps a bit more field of view but each to there own. I must admit i'd never heard of them and was more than happy with my 8X56 S&B until i had a look through my mates 10x50 and long range targets Zoomed in so too speak. I was still undecided but decided to ring Aimfieldsports, after looking at there Website at the Sightron Range. I spoke to John who i must admit after telling him what shooting i wanted it for recommended the 6x24 but with no pressure for a sale. John gave me all the time i needed and answered all the Questions i wanted to know and even offered to send a 6x24 and a 8x32 to me to compare as long as i didn't put them on a rifle (top, top service). Well iv'e Had my 8x32 for a good while now and am absolutely over the moon with it on all fronts and today i phoned Aimfieldsports up as i had lost my scope alankey spoke to John, he remembered me asked how i was getting on with the scope and said he will post another alankey no charge what service. If anybody is thinking of getting a new scope, i'd certainly recommend you give Aimfieldsports a ring and ask for John (check out the Website) Sorry for going on a bit Smokey
  24. Hi White Lodge Was in the same boat myself, wasn't really that clued up about scopes, like yourself got some good feedback from the experts, like Fister, Al4x etc. In the end i went for the 8x32 Sightron over the 6x24 as like you wanted to try a bit of long range shooting as well as my normal sitting up in low light and over the lamp. I purchased my 8x32 LRMD from John at Aimfieldsports who will give you all the advice you need to know with no pressure for a sale. My mate actually sold his Zeiss and brought a Sightron and i was using a s&b 8x56 although for only low light shooting and my Sightron is just as good but with the added bonus of variable power. Type in www.aimfieldsports go to S111 then give John a ring i dont think you will be dissapointed good luck with whatever you choose Smokey
  25. Hi all I am thinking of buying an NM800 scope fitting taclight, has anybody got or used one for foxing and would you recommend them, can you tell me what distance can you see clearly and what colour led would you use Any feedback would be much appreciated. cheers Smokey
