  1. I have owned air rifles for many years now and have always wondered as to why the Daystate and Air wolf guns are so much in price when compared to other models, i know some have fancy computers on them e.t.c but even with out the electronics on the side they cost so much when compared with other company's such as Air Arms or even a small Sussex company Falcon. Is there any apparent reason for this and if you are a Daystate owner please say why you decided to buy that model and not another. Are they just as good as other models and are they worth the price that they are sold at? Many thanks.
  2. But then surely a piece of tipex on each side of the scope would do the same thing.
  3. I have recently bought so many gun gadgets that it is unbelievable, however there is one that has taken to my eye that i am slightly unsure of. Before i fritter away 25 quid has anyone used the accucover and does it make a noticeable difference? I know that it is supposed to eliminate certain accuracy faults but has it made a noticeable difference to anybody that has used it? Many thanks.
  4. I am currently in the process of purchasing a Falcon Prairie C. I have yet to decide whether to get it in .117 or .22, i know that .177 is more accurate and travels faster yet its not as heavy as the .22, will this affect the kill on the rabbits. .22 is heavier, less accurate but still a little unsure on killing power, the .22 has more shots per fill on the falcon than the .177 Baring in mind that this air rifle is going to be used for killing rabbits i would much appreciate to hear your views. Many thanks and please give me your point of view.
  5. I am trading in my trusty old gamo shadow sport for a new air rifle. My choices of new air rifles are either the BSA XL tactical or the Cometa fusion black. Does anyone have any experience of using either of these two guns. The BSA tactical is £299 while the Cometa fusion black is only £275. Both come in 22. or 177., if anyone does have experience with any of these two guns please do let me no both pros and cons. If so also recommend which calibre to use. Many thanks.

    Pellets

Dear all. I am enquiring to see what type of pellet should really be used for hunting. I own a gamo shadow sport air rifle and have been shooting with it for about 2 years. I was hunting rabbits today and was using an Air arms field 177. pellet, clean head shot on the rabiit from about 25yards away and yes there was a bit of flinching after but apart from that it was lovely kill. Does anybody recon that changing your pellet type from a domed or flat pellet to a pointed pellet will kill quicker. I have heard however that they apaarentley they aren't as accurate. Please let me here your thoughts and views and if you have a good recomendation of a pellet type (preferably pointed) i would be more than happy to hear about it. Many thanks.
  7. Does the Air arms s400 carbine version have multi shots or is it just like the original s400 with a single shot? Many Thanks.
  8. Ch weston is a great shop where i bought my first rifle (gamo shadow sport), do you recon they will let me trade it in for a little bit of money? Many Thanks.
  9. brighton..............sorry
  10. I have been in posession now for over a year of a gamo shadow sport air rifle which is spring, ammitadly it has had its days but i think it has come to the stage to move on to a pcp. I have read an article in the airgun world magazine on the air arms s400 which does look bloody fantastic but is it worth it at the end of the day, it only costs 384 pounds and the single shot version only costs 340 pounds, having set that prices will rocket after putting a bipod and scope to go with it. For a pcp is this worth while specially comparing it to other prices on the market and also bearing in mind air arms is a decent make. Many Thanks. p.s Do you recon the average gun shop will allow you to trade in your older rifle? please reply.
  11. The bloke who sold it to me and my dad in the shop in Brighton said nothing about needing a fac license and seemed pretty relaxed about selling it to a 15 year old (me) should i still check it out?
  12. I do not have an FAC but i got the information off a number of sites that it was capable of doing 1200fps, im pretty sure it is capable of doing though. Have a look at the website below http://www.airgunsbbguns.com/Gamo_Shadow_S...mo611004854.htm
  13. I have a gamo shadow sport air rifle and i wanted to make sure whether anyone would think that it would be capable of killing a rabbit roughly anything from 0-40 yards. (40 yards maybe being too generous) It can do the following 1200 ft/sec with PBA ammo 1000 ft/sec with lead ammo many thanks
