  1. SAK on my .22LR CZ and a Parker Hale on the BRNO SA and I dont notice a difference Id go for the SAK with Sub sonic ammo. Even my .17HMR has a SAK thinking of it.
  2. After another .223 Screwcut please if anyone has one local to Plymouth or Portsmouth please drop me a P.M with the details. Not looking to spend a fortune as it is only intended for the odd Fox that is being a nuisance on the local farms. I have a scope and sling here so if the price can be dropped to reflect just a rifle/Magazine that great. regards
  3. Be excellent if it does turn out to be the serial number 23. Away from home until the weekend but intend to take another look at it this weekend.
  4. Every time I head out shooting I see something I wish I could get a photo of so now when I head out with the gun I pack the camera. Nothing fancy just a Canon Powershot A640 but it does the job. I was out on Saturday with the .17HMR and after an Hr or so I had half a dozen rabbits in the bag so I headed back towards the car on the other side of my permission. I always stay very light on my feet when out shooting and remain as quiet as possible and alert as I often see Charlie out prowling about. As I was coming out of an opening in the woods I spotted a Deer (Not unusual on my permission) pulling at a branch about 40 Mtrs from me. So I slowly walked back into the woods to put the HMR on my shoulder and get the camera out of the bag. I was convinced they would hear me as I was pretty close but as the wind was blowing towards me I was downwind luckily. I managed to get the camera out and walk back out to the edge of the wood undetected. I was snapping away trying to get it into focus whilst slowly walking towards it when I noticed a second in company with it! Both completely unaware of my presence. I got within about 25 Mtrs of them before they were out of sight and headed into the woods. Pretty cool experience getting so close and remaining undetected.
  5. Fantastic bits of kit pricey but if you want anything decent nowadays its better to buy once.
  6. Thankyou guys some interesting information there. I will get researching and try to find out more. Im away from home until the weekend but I will check for anymore marks on the barrels/stock that may help to identify it
  7. Not a cleaning kit but I have a Brand new 12G Hoppes Boresnake here for £17 Posted within UK
  8. I have been given this from my Dads friend I have no idea of age but judging by the look of it it is pretty old. The bores are in a bad state and it is only suitable for the mantlepiece unless alot of ££ was thrown at it but it is a nice well made piece and I wandered if any collectors out there have any information on it. Many thanks in anticipation Tris
  9. I will see what I can do. Sure I can undercut the Sportsman easily enough
  10. All Servicemen/Women are automatically members I believe
  11. Reduced to £18 Each Posted fellas
  12. Some good points on the responsibility of holding the certificate. Like getting a Driving license in a way it makes you feel more mature / grownup. I think it can only be a positive thing getting it for him. It will make him feel more trustworthy and in the click if you know what I mean. I would have loved it if my old man got me my certificate when I was younger. Just joining the local clay ground when I was younger and being a member made me feel grownup and made me act responsibly.
  13. I would get him one. As you have mentioned it will only get harder to get one in the future and building up a few years experience on paper with his own license will only help in the future. It may not be too long until he is driving and independent and he may wish to go shooting alone / without you one day. apart from the initial cost I can only see positive points from getting him one. Sounds silly but I bet he will feel like more of a shooter with his own License and he will thank you for it.
  14. Worth mentioning this is a Semi Auto as well as the FAC slot needs to specify Semi Auto I believe.
  15. Very good Rifles. I have one of these from 1966 still very very accurate after all these years
  16. I have 3 more now guys if anyone else wants any please P.M me and I will forward payment details.
  17. I had a clip round the head if I stepped out of line when I was younger, (29 now) my Childhood was a happy one. I was one of 4 boys who all received a smack if we were naughty. My old man was from a very strict background from an age where it was normal to hit children and sadly had a very bad childhood with his Dad beating not just him but his mother. Child abuse and hitting your child for being naughty are very different in my opinion. I do not look back at our childhood and see it as abuse and in my opinion abuse is if it is dished out without reason. If I wasn't naughty I wouldn't get a smack simple. Kept me in line and all 4 of us have grown up and led a successful life to date with solid family values and a good moral upbringing. I respect my elders and have a disciplined life prob more so as we all joined the forces. I think all the pink & fluffy answers referencing a deserved smack to abuse need to get a grip. A smack when naughty never did me any harm or left me feeling 'abused' of course in some cases as we have seen throughout this post some have been abused or beaten and a friend of mine was beaten by his dad I do not know the in's and outs but from what I have heard it was a power trip for his dad. This is clearly abuse. However a clip across the legs for running into a road or similar is fine in my opinion. The line is quite black and white to me between abuse and a smack for being naughty. It is like banning guns due to one idiot like we see in the news all too often now. Be easy to just stamp guns as dangerous and unncessary however on investigation it is the holder of the firearm that can make it safe/dangerous. The same goes for a smack. It can be used in a safe way to control children responsibly or taken to extremes and lead to abuse. Used correctly it is safe and can work but step over the line and it can be abusive.
  18. Good post hamster enjoyed reading that and some good points.
  19. Good to see they have finally sorted it out. When there was rumours it wasn't going to go ahead I was disgusted. Sacrifice those men gave during the war was incredible and should never be forgotten!
  20. Both now provisionally sold pending payment
  21. £20 Each including Postage/Packaging
  22. Have approx 40 Norma 50Gr rounds that are no longer required due to selling my .223. I have recently got another .17HMR so if you are local to Plymouth / Cornwall and have some .17HMR Rnds you are willing to swap and have the relevant ticket let me know. Of course I will expect more than 40 Rounds in return
