  1. Surprised the fire brigade did'nt take the opportunity to practice car roof removal .They seem to take every chance with every police car on merseyside thats been involved with a P.V.A. (police vehicle accident) i know. i deal with the aftermath lol
  2. 5 years left on mortgage ,then living rent free for 5 years then 2 x 25 year goverment pensions kick in (me and the wifes).retire at 60 ,no state pension till 67. Will get beer money jobs to keep us busy ,then continue living rent free in our home as long as possible. Well thats the plan ,now watch some faceless civil servant mess it up ,lol.
  3. Great bloke he sourced not 1 but 2 spare barrels for my browning double automatic after i had exhausted all other searches ,thought i was going to scrap it at one point. While i was there i gave him a old belgium hammer gun for free, he may still have it knocking around.

  8. I usually bring my whole armoury, o/u, semi auto, pump action, martini action, just looking for a lee enfield 410 bolt action to complete my collection,i'll shoot anything at clays love the weird looks lol
  9. Looking at pictures on web the difference seems to be the pins, the mk1 has half moon locking pins and the safety lever looks slightly different. The mk11 has a single slotted barrel screw and all other pins are held in with circlips, not sure if the internals are slightly different i think generally they were all the same?
  10. Tanks for your info i was thinking about how fast a reload could be i guess its a case of trial and error and see what style works best. Did shoot a original .303, 30 odd years ago my father had a huge collection of sec 1 firearms ,owning a gun club there was'nt much we did'nt own or shoot at the time. By all accounts they kick like a mule so look forward to my first shoot with it next week.
  11. Fancy a original auto 5 to compliment my double automatic , I agree i have always wondered about the journeys these guns have been on ,i'm just the next chapter in there history. May have to get a bigger cabinet thanks for your response, regards, Mark.
  12. Went Sat picked up a nice Greener GP MK11,was also looking for a cartridge belt but the best i could find was 60 quid, did'nt wanna pay that for one so the missus went on a mission to pick up as much free stuff as she could, met wabbitbosher gave him a old blackpowder sxs i wanted to get rid of, what a gent and talented engineer, nice to meet him at last.
  13. thankyou for your positive comments gents, still doing research seems mine is a Webley model with it having the circlip pins however seems quality was'nt lost during the Webley takeover ,regards, Mark.
  14. I like the old stuff so this has a new forever home with me,by all accounts there becoming quite desirable now so who knows it may be a bit of a investment, but really bought it to shoot it ,like the thought of the single barrell challenge on the clays,
  15. Not one drunk person traveller or otherwise in sight Picked up a nice GREENER GP MK11 while i was there great day out.
  16. Whilst at the Midland Game fair this weekend i bought a Greener GP MK11 Martini henry 12g, Always fancied one of theses , i like classic guns so one of theses has always interested me ,i think its the later webley model with the circlip pins .Did'nt realise the barell was removable just unscrew the slotted pin pull the ejector arm down and out it screws ,amazing . I totally stripped it, looked like it had'nt been cleaned in a long time ,was'nt to difficult to strip but tricky to re-assemble once done i now have the knack, so can't wait to shoot it ,but got things on next weekend so i'll have to wait for a couple of weeks ,if you have any tips or info pelase share i'm all ears , regards, ,Mark
