  7. Do yourself a favour and find the original series "Broen" or "The Bridge" it was copied from, much better by far.

  14. Even with my declared medical conditions NOW were by far the cheapest (used them a few times now) for annual worldwide cover (inc. USA) it was £86.65 for two of us but that's not with a zero excess. http://www.nowtravelinsurance.com/
  15. Why? It certainly did nothing at all to prevent or even reduce crimes involving handguns, those have been on the increase ever since the ban was introduced.
  16. Yes, a qualified electrician should do a good job, well not if you get the idiots I got when the council put in a wet room (disabled facilities grant) the firm from Hartlepool they used I wouldn't trust to put batteries in a torch the right way round. Very basic job, already existing wiring in place for the light and extractor fan, so basically supply new feed to the shower drain pump transformer/controller (supposed to be in the wet room so we can use the button to drain any excess water after cleaning the floor etc.) So, given that the existing wiring in the loft was very neatly tacked to the joists, A-frames etc. out of the way of everything they ended up with this, The box in the red circle is the transformer/controller that's supposed to be in the wet room!, not screwed to an A-frame in a loft I can't get into!. And this is the quality wiring of the shower drain pump, the cables in the red circle are the water flow sensors, they shouldn't even be in there!. They made such a good job of it they had to break the housing to jam the cables in, so of course it's not sealed!
  17. Before replacing anything I'd ask around and try and get a few different factory rounds and try them, see if any give better accuracy.
  18. How short is short and who shortened it? Have you had the crown checked? My 16" .300AAC shoots 168 Hornady AMax, Match, Nosler CC, Sierra SMK, Lapua Scenar (167) all under 1.5" at 100yds if I do my bit.

  20. Short answer is no, you don't need a commercial invoice or anything else to send a scope for repair, it's a repair of your goods not an export. Just make sure you fully document the return and keep copies of the paperwork you send with it, model, serial number etc., copy of your purchase invoice if you have one, return authorisation email or whatever you got from the manufacturer. A couple of photos wouldn't go amiss either just in case they try to charge you duty when it's returned. Obviously send it tracked and insured.
  21. Used USCarHire before without a problem, looking at 2 weeks starting in November they're more expensive than our other usual supplier, NetFlights. For a standard SUV (Nissan Rogue (X-Trail here) Net Flights are £362, USCarHire want £444 https://www.netflights.com/car-hire-results.aspx?pickup=Orlando%20Intl%2c%20Florida%20-%20USA%20%5bMCO%5d&pickupdepot=MCO&dropoff=Orlando%20Intl%2c%20Florida%20-%20USA%20%5bMCO%5d&dropoffdepot=MCO&pickupdate=22%20-%2011%20-%202017%2017%3a00&dropoffdate=06%20-%2012%20-%202017%2017%3a00&driverage=61
  22. Sorted. 3 vans, 4 workers and their boss turned up as well!, cabling now neatly routed, transformer is now above the bathroom door (upside down!) so at least I can get to the button to drain the gulley/tray. Boxing in has all been re-done with the waterproof boarding and the holes around the pipes/cable have been sealed. Cable to the pump (just the 24v one now) has been put into trunking and a new pump cover fitted. The man from the council has been up and had a look in the loft and is happy, I can't manage to get up at the moment, it's a bad day and climbing a ladder when you're full of Tramadol & Oramorph is never a good idea! Thanks to all for the help, hopefully I can now go shower in safety, assuming I don't fall over of course
  23. Spoke to the council this morning first thing, the chap responsible for the planning/design/specs etc. is coming out this afternoon, should be fun as the contractors are coming as well.
  24. Thanks Rupert, I'll ring the Home Improvement section of the council tomorrow morning and demand they send out someone to do a proper inspection. The company that did the work are due out tomorrow afternoon to sort it out but I have no faith in them at all, I'll tell them I want the transformer put in the wet room or outside the door where it should be but no doubt I'll get a load of **** about it. I have a copy of the Whale install guide.
