  1. Not sure what the running total is as posts seem to have gone off kilter a wee bit. Last correctly logged qty was 643 so I'll go from there. 3 Magpies = 646 Perhaps a mod can confirm the correct kill total........thanks muchly
  2. 2 Magpies from the fence of no return 585
  3. Yup defo Auntie Wainwrights Simon, I could spend hours in there just having a sticky beak, and if I had any dosh I would need a van to take the stuff home. Should be more shops like them, shooting & angling especially. Thanks for posting Bri
  4. Producer possibly taking a leak and discovered to his/her horror someone was telling the truth when he returned. Followed by the voice from above to the presenter via the earpiece to close him down. Edit to add:- if news channels cannot/will not present the facts without the opinions of the station/newspaper owner then they should be shut down. Aint going to happen tho'
  5. Sounds like Auntie Wainrights emporium
  6. My understanding of the HK situation is that it was leased from the Chinese on a 100 year(sic) lease. No idea what the terms were but I doubt if the Chinese government did it out of the goodness of their hearts. This being basically a commercial arrangement with China do we have any responsibility to any HK Chinese once the lease expired? I suggest not Tin hat on.
  7. Easy peasy ....send a Gmail (g as in ghostly). 😝 So sorry best I could think of, I'll get me coat
  8. Congratulations Malala very well done here's a big BRAVO
  9. SE I defo favour the shut up view, maybe the producer had a lie in and had to back peddle when he/she turned up for work.
  10. BBC News this a.m. stated not thought to be a terrorist attack and no mention of a Libyan national ???? Go figure !!!

    Sheds

Had to buy a small shed 6x4 to keep dialysis supplies in. When I get a delivery there's not much space left. (was going to say there's not much room inside but I knew better with the PW wits waiting to pounce).

    Woodpeckers

We had 2 which used to visit us regularly until the council in their stupidity and without warning cut down the elder trees the woodpeckers used to chip away at. Over the course of a year we had roughly 20 small bird species visit our garden. The elder trees were an ideal refuge from the patrolling spars not any more thanks to council muppets.
  13. Been following Trumps pathetic efforts (more like lack of them), compared to them our government have /are doing marvellously, by no means perfect but what government in the world has a perfect solution.

    Scum

If the scumbag develops full blown CV19 (if caught) he should be taken to a single bed isolation room, front line NHS carers surround his bed and spit on the scum. Then just leave him to die, not nice but he would not do it again. Not at all nice and it will never happen thankfully, people especially health care pros' would never do such a bestial thing. However he may just be so remorseful he commits suicide (assisted) when inside.
  15. They've already got guns just need a big field or a space in one of the deserts.
  16. Was on a rowboat in Northumbria, several lots of years ago. Idly casting a fly & not catching much. When my feet and those of my mate started to tremble, looked around the boat was vibrating and the lake water was doing strange things. Seconds later what appears in the sky? a vision of raw power and noise, to wit one vulcan bomber. Absolutely amazing, don't recall which air base it had just taken off from but it and the vulcan are long gone now.
  17. How to make a total *** of yourselves (and the cop force) in one easy lesson. Should have put donkey instead of ***.
  18. Mrs SBL's grandparents lived next to an aerodrome in the Stockton area (may have been Thornaby), her grandmother made great friends with a lot of the aircrew who called her Ma. Wife vaguely remembers Lancs flying over after the war probably by 3 or 4 years. She also remembers a flight of an early jet fighter, no idea what it was. Anyhoos she playing in the garden at about 5y.o. when a jet flew overhead quite low and flat out. She was found hiding under the kitchen table say oh burgger oh burgger over and over. Oddly she loves flying now.
  19. Just to change things a tad :- I live backing onto a large cemetery, have done for around 20 years. During that time we have gotten used to a certain level of activity re funerals. Since the outbreak of this virus we have seen a significant increase in the number of funerals. Not double but maybe around 60/70 % increase. Its really very sad seeing the funerals take place with only 5 mourners present at the grave (as per the corona rules) any others have to stand well away. That does not include those using the crem' which is partially screened (we can't see the entrances). If the lock down dissenters could see these daily scenes of sadness perhaps they would be more willingly compliant. Just saying
  20. I have both in China and Kowloon.I have seen worse, like taking a dump in a latrine not fully screened to the outside and gobbing and peeing in the street. Live frogs (although they looked more like toads; kept in cages outside restaurants, live fish in tanks on the pavement, again outside a café. Select one you like the look of they'll despatch it and cook it. They eat all of the frog not just the legs a la francaise My host there (in a town called Cixi not far from Ningbo) he swore blind they had fantastic hair preserving properties. Seen him there about 3 years before I retired...……….Bald as a coot!! It's a little better now than when I first started going there'(but much). Perhaps in 50 or a 100 years they will catch up with the rest of most of the world.
  21. Disinfectant bah! has he never heard of the worlds universal cure/fix all WD40
