  1. I was taking the p out of a friend on Game sporting opportunity's page, as I used the word gun in the post I was banned for a month 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
  2. I tried my normal load 30g 5 Sipe extremes, they looked fine through 3/8 and 5/8 at 40 yards. If I do my bit they will be dead 👌
  3. Just was no real pattern to it, and big gaps. Like I thought 3/8 would do at that distance, however I was surprised. Don’t say that, I will have to buy more Teague chokes to try out 🙈 Will have to get something a little more open for steel maybe skeet and 3/8……
  4. I know this is a old thread, however thought this would be helpful to people. I patterned RC hyperfasts in 35g 4’s this morning. The results are as mentioned above, too much choke equals blown patterns. I am now sticking to my 3/8 and 5/8 chokes. All patterns were done @50yards. I was sure I was going to need full and 3/4 at that distance……
  5. I just use it for cleaning metalwork, lubricate with frog lube and bit of slippery ****’s wax and additive on the stock…..
  6. Am I being naive then, I thought everyone was now paying the same price, as in the price cap?
  7. It is yes, I ended up never wanting to shoot my black action 725 again…. I sold it
  8. Having never considered a Rizzini before I now really like my Round body sporter (12g), it just fits me and works 👌👍
  9. Not having used a lot yet (about 100 last time it on driven duck), I just stuck to 1/4 and 1/2 🤷🏼‍♂️. seemed to do the job for me, had some nice second barrel kills, so wouldn’t have thought a little choke was not doing any harm….
  10. If within budget I would recommend sending the woodwork off to Paul Thomson, it will come back looking better than new 👌
  11. Great advice above. I don’t really think about how it was stored, hopefully it still tastes good. Wish me luck Thanks
  12. Any Champaign lovers lurking on PW? Recently found a rather nice bottle of Champaign in a cellar of a old relative I was clearing. Looks like it has been there 20 years? a quick google tell me it could be worth over £200, but where would you sell such thing if you couldn’t bring yourself to drink something of that value
  13. If theses have not been taken I will have them for a friend, would be able to meet you on your travels in the NE as I live in east Yorkshire.
  14. finally got some photos that do the woodwork some justice, as can be seen it looks good. Also throwing in some muller chokes remembered I have u 1,2 and 3 I think. also on guntrader https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/browning/over-under/12-gauge/b725-black-edition-adjustable-220515144927579 Based East Riding £1650 ono
  15. I have a advert running on guntrader currently, all seems well from where I am. Haven’t sold it yet however..
  16. Thanks for everyone’s input to this decision. It is looking like I am sticking to the Rizzini, to be honest I have loved shooting it this season and shot well. I got it back out the cabinet yesterday and it just feels right for me. Just to put the finishing touch on it I have ordered a Isis pad, giving it 4mm longer lop should make it perfect. Then I can play around with some lead in the stock to see if I can make it a little more balanced. End of the day it is a good old case of stick with what fits!
  17. Must admit this doesn’t fill me with confidence as I am not a big fan of recoil. I would mainly be using the gun for game shooting, over the years I have seemed to move towards 30g cartridges due to felt recoil.
  18. Must admit first impressions of the F16, they are a light gun, maybe needs slightly more cast too. However the blaser does seem to be a much better balanced version of my Rizzini. Just in a dilemma now, as I could get the balancer kit for the gun and set it up just how I want it….
  19. If I’m honest the 725 has been parked up since I acquired a round action sporter Rizzini, I have loved shooting it this season. Cannot even imagine wanting to take the 725 over my Rizzini now. Hopefully trade the 725 for a F16, as I seem to prefer 32inch barrels now but am looking for something lighter and faster handling.
  20. This is interesting, the one I am keen on is a grade 4 and it is second hand already….. so hopefully the first owner has taken the hit. I didn’t think they looked that cheap secondhand on guntrader…..
  21. Sounds like it is well worth me going to have a look them. From the pictures one looks a game version, however it says 32 inch barrels on the add. Thought they only did 30 inch in game? might sneak away from work for lunch tomorrow and look at them. Thanks
  22. Seem I have a blaser itch, is the F16 anywhere near as good as the standards the F3 has set? Can any blaser users give me some first hand information on them, obviously all online reviews say the are amazing! local gun shop has 2 second hand F16’s in stock at a little over 2k, going to have to go see the guns and see what I think to them.
