  1. We are having a Jacobs join Burns Lunch at work this coming Monday. So far there is Cullen Skinc, a Chieftain haggis with neeps, tatties and whisky sauce, Scotch pies, Lorne sausage, tablet cheesecake, Dundee cake, shortbread, Tunnock wafers and teacakes, oat cakes and cheese, iron bru and a dram or two pledged with most of it being homemade. We're all looking forward to it but production may be slow in the afternoon.
  2. Jordanmarsh had an IC for sale in "other sales" .lately
  3. 23 euros or £19 in Norfolk money. Not sure of the weight of each fish, but there was plenty of them for one heck of a holiday treat feast. The roasting tin they were in above is 14" x 10" and the fish were a good 2" at the thickest.
  4. That's why we all love you 😍
  5. A couple of turbot, baked on a bed of fennel, lemon and parsley with buttered new potatoes and green beans, all from the same Normandy market. I really respect the French way of life and their love of food.
  6. Just back from the local market in Normandy and going to have a dozen oysters for lunch. These special No3's are some of the best I've ever eaten. They cost 8 Euro 50, (£7.29) a dozen.
  7. How about key clamp fittings for circular tube. 90 degree bends are available to suit 34mm diameter tube. Your heavy 25x3 box section would be approx 36mm corner to corner on the diagonal if the corners were dead square, but there is a radius on them so it shoulsdfit into a 34mm bore. The thinner stainless tube could easily be hammered to suit. The grub screws would probably need replacing with longer M8 bolts so they protrude into the fittitng further to clamp onro the box sections. A different approach maybe but i think it would work.
  8. Surplus to my needs, a full box of 25 Winchester drylock steel 10 bore, 3 1/2", 1 3/8 Oz of No 2's. £50.00 collected from FY6 area of Lancashire. SGC to be viewed on purchase.
  9. Many thanks for your understanding and sorry for any inconvenience. Gordon is right on all counts. Good luck with the sale.
  10. Here is a travel bag perfectly suited to shooting trips. It's large size allows for shooting suits and coats etc to be packed away on one side along with casual wear on the other plus a broken down shotgun with 30" barrels stored in between in padded compartments. It is in great condition with only some of the trim showing signs of wear on the buckle straps. More photos of the actual bag can be sent via WhatsApp if needed as the files are too big, but below is a link to description and photos from Uttings £85.00 including delivery to mainland UK .https://www.google.co.uk/url?q=https://www.uttings.co.uk/p112605-guardian-heritage-travel-bag-large-ghtb-l/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiylMqY55KAAxVa1QIHHeMvBIoQFnoECAAQAg&usg=AOvVaw18IjynMkAk6Yod6mMrH5q1
  11. Thanks for the update. Not a silly price in reality I suppose.
  12. Any idea what the lot of 10 bore cartridges made?
  13. Try one of the local shops, Hookers Baits at Cleveleys, Fleetwwood Sea Fishing on the Esplanade or Blackpool Angling on Red Bank Road all have fresh and frozen baits. Hookers do mail order too.
  14. Mrs SG picked some up for us earlier. Telescopic to 2.4Mtr. The twist lock is ok, just about. Good enough for a hide net, but not really up to a heavy washing line so I've now got 2 more than expected 👍 I think they're ok for the price. A little modifying with footplates and they'll be good to go.
  15. Andy Lee is a good guy and would do the job well.
  16. Leave it with me, just off out right now. BB's tale of Manka the sky gipsy followed a white pinkfoot goose from Iceland to our shores and back again . Worthy of a read indead, Will be back in touch soon.
  17. I have some 3", 36g RC atomics at hand, with a velocity of 1406FPS (as reported by johnnytheboy in his tests). I could do the same as enfieldspares did if any help to you
  18. I'd like to figure I know how spaniels think after all the time I've had them, but... I know the very place in question that is being searched so well by so many, along with the lay off the land and how the river level fluctuates and it's features within, but... I am fully aware this is an "off topic" forum but please hope all armchair sleuths are very respectfully in their theories with respect for the families involved and the local people touched by this whole incident as there are obviously too many unknowns and the whole topic could be regarded as disrespectful gossip. Thank you.
  19. They had good stock earlier in the season, but less after I left!
