  1. got a cz550 varmint kevlar in .243. new condition with less tha 100 rounds fired. at £550 inc rfd transfer.
  2. As far as I know they are easily converted... not certain though. I can RFD it
  3. I'm giving serious thought to packing it in for the time being. I havn't fired the .243 for 5 months, I've been on the same brick of .22lr since the last scone gamefair and I've lost a very large permission recently. These facts put together with the date that I'm going to ITC Catterick have made me think "why bother". I must have a good few grand s worth of shooting equipment pluss an 05 vitara that costs me more to insure, run and tax than a bloody transit van.... I think I should sell it all and get a fast car and take it up again when my life settles.
  4. I'm not kidding myself, I know that it could affect me in later life and I'm cutting it back On the plus side, I dont drink, I dont smoke, I get out in the fresh (i.e countryside, not citysmog) air alot more than the average young man and so I can quite confidently say (even with the fizzy drinks) that I will outlive almost everyone else in my generation!
  5. I also drink a stupidly large ammount of fizzy drinks from lucozade to coke, probably around 3 litres daily. However I would say that I'm way above avarage fitness (running 6 miles 5 times a week + circuit training). My teeth are tip top due to the fact that they are regularly cleaned (never even had a filling) and I am probably about as close to Ideal weight as you could get (69kg and 5'10") However none of this is to say that, if I keep going this way with fizzy drinks, it wont catch up to me in later life (diabetes, cancer or whatever else)
  6. thanks to everyone for theire input, I'm beggining getting stuff sorted. Just for the record though, I'm not, nor will I ever seet compensation for this incident.... I just want to be certain that it doesnt happen again.
  7. I've just spoken to someone in the hse office in Edinburgh, the accident hasn't been reported. I now have to contact my employer to find out why and then call hse back to tell them the answere also, I was taken to hospital in an ambulance after i was found
  8. I don't even know if there is an accident book! The only health and safety bumph on site is an emergency procedure poster that Instructs us to contact the boss's dad (dead for a good few years) in the first instance of an accident and lists the nearest hospital as Dundee Royal Infirmary (closed for a good while now)
  9. Hello everybody. I thought some of you guys might be able to shed a little light on somthing for me? Basically about 3 months ago a large container lid (60kg+) fell on my head at work, knocking me out for 2 hours and almost killing me. This was caused by faulty equipment and unsafe working practices set down by my boss. So now 3 months after the accident there has been no word of my accident being reported by my boss or the hospital/dr. Does anyone know how I would find out if my accident has been reported? and what is being done? I'm gradually getting back to work but nothing has changed and I'm pretty convinced that another accident will happen in the not too distant future. Nathan
  10. Thanks it wasnt very clear (for me anyway) on the sight
  11. was meaning to add, R1r model with 4k ret (1st focal plane iirc)
  12. Looks like shooting is going to take a back seat for a wee while, so I'm going to downgrade the scope on my .243 until normal usage resumes. The scope is a meopta meostar 3-12x56 illuminated ret. These are meoptas top end scopes and are outstanding. Great light transmission, gives a picture as crisp as a bag of walkers baked very reliable and rugged. In my opinion this scope surpasses leupold quality and is even better than the zeiss durralyte range. This scope was purchased from glenluce gunrooms on the 3rd of january this year. I would like £650 plus post. Nathan
