  1. I drive quite frequently on the A11/A14. This is a very busy road fully of lorries going to and from the port of Harwich/Felixstowe. I broke down once (I had a Defender!) and had to park half on/half off lane 1. It was frightening. I am not sure any of the lorries were expecting me to be there because they might have come across a moped/bike etc.
  2. both are Multi lane, busy, variable speed, mix of lorry and cars, no obvious safe area for broken down vehicles.
  3. Out of interest do you feel the same when driving on a busy duel carriageway non-motorway without a hard shoulder? I don't see what the difference is.
  4. The fact that they shouldn't have been there doesn't diminish the impact nor magnify it. If they had been there legally then the outcome would have been the same.

Think of all the people being employed by building it.

    Six nations today

Still to prove himself over a consistent period. I've had games where I would consider myself world class but they were few and far between!

    Six nations today

I’m not convinced. Itoje Curry Underhill May Watson Are the only ones that could be considered world class imo. Sinkler at a push.
  8. Eh! two days to go not one. No chance either way.
  9. People die. That is until you find the recipe for eternal life.
  10. Well considering that there are minimal restrictions in place in most States I would say that they are learning to live with it. People are at work, shopping, eating and drinking in bars and restaurants. If they weren't happy to do so do you think they would willing do this? I know you think we should be in a draconian lockdown but the facts are that the US has taken a different approach and seems to be getting along OK.
  11. Americans I know are happy to get the vaccine but also happy to continue living life with minimal restrictions until they get it.
  12. It can. I am right handed. I have it on the right. Cheers. It’s my first PCP.
  13. Yes it has. I know that because it is sitting in my safe at the moment 👍

    Tank filling

Cheers. I’ve got a pump in order which I will use until I buy a tank and the shops open for filling. What does the certification comprise of? Is it a separate document or some sort of sticker on the tank itself?

    Six nations today

From what I’ve seen so far England have the second worst team in the six nations.

    Tank filling

I have recently acquired a PCP and wondering whether to get a tank for ease of filling. I have two scuba shops relatively close to me and wondered whether people usually use scuba shops for filling bottles or whether you have to go to gun shops to do so. I would ask the shops but of course they are closed at the moment. Thanks
  17. That pitch is a nightmare. That said, if we had won the toss I doubt we would be complaining but its a shame that the game of cricket just becomes a coin toss lottery. Normally there would be independent umpires but covid put paid to that. I've played cricket in India and been victim to their dodgy decisions! LBW when I've middled the ball to cover, caught behind when I've missed the ball by about 6 inches, run out when I was past the stumps before the wicket was broken etc. I did find that buying the umpires breakfast before the game helped.

    Amanda Holden.

And that’s what this virus has driven us to become. A community that is devoid of compassion but blindly following ‘rules’ for the sake of it. If a close relative of mine urgently needed my help I would be there like a shot and damn the ‘rules’. Anybody who wouldn’t is heartless/stupid.

    Amanda Holden.

Lot of bitter people on here. She had a family emergency and made a decision that she felt was in her and her families best interests. Who did she endanger - nobody.
  20. I am working with a team of analysts in India at the moment. They said that things are pretty much back to normal and offices are due to reopen again this week. like a lot of countries they are just learning to live with it.
  21. Complete brain fade after many years of test cricket only being on sky.
  22. I got up early today. Put on Sky to watch the cricket. Thought “that’s strange I thought the cricket started today”. Fell asleep in the chair. Realised later it was on C4 Just like the last test which I managed to watch!
  23. Who really knows? The government aren’t clear yet. From the gov.uk website The vaccine cannot give you COVID-19 infection, and a full course will reduce your chance of becoming seriously ill. We do not yet know whether it will stop you from catching and passing on the virus, but we do expect it to reduce this risk. So, it is still important to follow the guidance in your local area to protect those around you. To protect yourself and your family, friends and colleagues you still need to: practice social distancing wear a face mask wash your hands carefully and frequently follow the current guidance
  24. This has to be the ultimate first world problem.
  25. Not sure that’s the case. I thought the boffins were saying that you could still spread after getting the vaccine but just that you would get less ill from it.
