    esafes

I used them and they were ok. They were the only ones to even bother to offer a discount for buying two. Turned up on time and were the cheapest i could find. cheers
  3. i looked at these after my garage was broken into. I was warned off the cheap ones as they go off all the time for no reason. I was told the dearer ones were better but for the same money i had a wired system put in. They were cheaper to have installed than i thought so i would suggest that you get a couple of quotes. Mine is dead basic with 3 PIR detectors and one door sensor and the bell box on the outside. £300 all in which i thought was good value. It also knocks money off the house insurance and doesnt need batteries changing all the time so over a few years would probably work out the same money as a wireless system Hope this helps Alex
  4. Is this right or left handed? How heavy is it. Am looking for a cheap gun for the wife and this may fit the bill. That is if its still for sale? Cheers
  5. I had the Aventura one for 2 years. Used mainly by the wife but by the whole family on the weekend. She loved it and would have kept it for years. I wasnt so keen. Dont get me wrong we had absolutely no bother with it in 2 years. Running cost were comparible to a normal family car. What let it down for us was the ammount of room inside. The back seats had very little leg room and it ended up with us having to almost fold the kids in half to get them in. Also felt a bit plasticy after the shogun i traded in for it. Just lean on one of the wings on a hot day to see what i mean !! I was told that some of the 2.2 diesels have a habit of chewing up turbos and destroying engines. After speaking to a Nissan mechanic he told me it was down to not having them serviced regularly, so go for one that has been looked after or you may regret it. Also as someone else mentioned to replace the tyres on the 17in wheels you are looking at £150 a corner. Hope this helps
  6. I had the Warrior version for a couple of years and although it was a nice looking truck it was a harsh ride. It would practically shake your fillings loose on a bumpy road. Fuel consumption was high as well but i never had any mechanical problems with it. They do need looking after and the service interval is only 6000 miles, so they cost to keep on the road. Other than that i liked it and ended up plumping for another Mitsubishi when the need for a 4x4 arose again Cheers

    Lintran Box

Hi, I am looking for a lintran or similar dog box. Needs to fit the back of a shogun , so around 36 inches wide give or take. Must be in decent nick. Needs to be a decent size so i can get 3 dogs in. Thanks for looking
  8. Thanks for all the replies chaps. By chance i have been offered a nice 2001 Shogun for a little bit more money ( Ah you cant take it with you ) I even managed to convince the wife that as its got 7 seats its a people carrier !! Cheers
  9. Being relatively new to shooting i am now in the market for a 4X4. I have been looking at some of the options and the one that keeps croping up is the 2nd generation Maverick 3 litre. I can pick up a 2003 one with 60K ish miles for around the 3 K mark, which is pretty good value What i dont know is what these are like to live with, running costs, reliability etc. I have done a bit of research and it says that although they never really took off in this country they are a pretty rugged and reliable. Any thoughts are appreciated Cheers
  10. He had one of the finest choppers in the north East !!
  11. My old fella would rub his over a whet stone with a big dollop of spit on it every time he put them away after a job. His would cut paper. A cheap chisel will never keep a decent edge either, Hope this helps
  12. Hi guys, New member and new this year to shooting as a whole. Just bought myself a Miroku and joined a clay club and a syndiacte. I am absolutely loving it at the moment. And to think my mates all took up golf Ha ha ha The forum looks good and no doubt will be a mine of info early on. Cheers
