  5. Hi, I've been looking for a locking block for my 3" magnum escort12g, it's a mark 3 with the easy loader. I've tried every-where to purchase one since July without much luck. I've been in contact with Edgar brothers, but still no joy. They say they are out of stock( since July ???) they tell me it's the mk2 old style block that I need with the hole at the rear where the firing pin slots into.If by any chance someone has got one of these please can you message me. Many thanks for looking . Les.

  8. Had a nice couple of hours on the wheat on the southwick est with my old mate Richie. We didn't get there till 4.30 after work. I parked the car in the usual spot near a double gate leading to the big wheat field we where going to shoot. as we stood near it to have a peep up they went in there droves to the nearest woods. But in the distance where a constant flight-line across the bottom end of the field, going to the neighbouring wheat field. So off we strolled, guns in hand and bag full of carts, no deeks or seats, to hot to be marching to much gear about. Anyway we found a couple of gaps in the hedge we could tuck into with a srip of cover crop in front of us, which gave us the best chance of picking up.It wasn't frantic by all means, but nice and steady. We only shot the in coming birds mainly, and they dropped nicely into the cover crop as we intended. We picked 22 and lost 3 behind. Roll on the stubbles.
  9. Many thanks lads, the total bag wad 27 crows and 17 jackdaws. I will try to to add pics.
  10. Me and my good buddy Richie set out on our new permission after a call from the land owner, saying he had far to many crows in the area. We set up under a big oak tree on the fifty acre field at about 8.30ish.We started out with just 5 crow deeks out,and a hawk decoy which worked a treat.the weather was great,a little over-cast first thing, and then bright sunshine by the afternoon. It didn't take long for them to start mobing the hawk.by midday we had 20 or so in the bag, and by 4 o'clock we had a nice mixed bag of crows and jackdaws. Land owner and us very happy. Sorry cant manage to upload pics any advice on attaching the right size ??
  11. Oops a daisy sorry!!!!!!!!!!! Never was much good at spelling
  12. Had a lovely day yesterday, I phoned Ritchie my shooting buddy at 12 noon, and we decided to have a stroll over our local pemission. We didn't expect much to happen, so we agreed to just take the guns and a dozen shell deeks.we started off in a copse on some high ground, with wheat stubble on one side, and barley stubble the other. We stayed for about half an hour with no joy, and not bird in sight. Anyway I decided to get the bins out and look at some more stubble across the road, there must have been close to a thousand birds there. So off we went walked over. No nets , no poles , no seat. We just took guns the deeks and 2 boxes of ammo each. We just put the deeks out any old how, and buried ourselves in under a tree, and hoped for the best. Well it did'nt take them long to start, there were a constant stream for the next 3 hours, coming in from all directions, decoding nicely. Even managed a nice couple of left and rights for a change. We ended up with 56 for 80 shots.we had to stop shooting as I had to go home and get ready for work. Top couple of unexpected hours out, and good company as well.
