first year rearing 250 day olds.done them all in the barn from 7th may, in a 12ftx8ft pen with 3 heat lamps bedded on straw.fed on pellets and access to drinking water only for 2 weeks.after 2nd week they were let out into the barn 32ftx48ft with straw bedding,kept on pellets for another 2 weeks with access to water bath trays.switched to wheat on week 5.kept in barn till end of week 6 then out to the rearing ponds and grass.managed to get 244 to the ponds,so I'm well happy with that.hope this is of help.

did about 4acres of this mix spun out the back of the quad,in 3 metre strips between trees in a newly planted wood. it will definitely last the season, and we will do again next year.also got some large blocks like colinf s which are in same condition as his.been a very good cover for us.

all our branchers down here were off the nests and gone this week.so early we only just caught the late ones.so keep a close eye on things or you maybe too late like we nearly were.

i am looking to adapt an old well used baikal single barrel shotgun.so i am looking for advice as to where i can get a new or used 12g moderator.thanks

just to add to the post,have had my hatsan 4 years put approx 16000 cartridges through it. hardly ever clean it and its only failed me 3 times, all my fault,twice gas port holes blocked and once with trigger spring fouled up, again through lack of tlc!in my opinion its a great tool for the vermin control work i do with it,and you cant fault it on price if you get a good one.

is the gun still for sale as i'm interested and not too far away

after several attempts to get a decent bag,average 10-15 birds,i decided to give the magnet a go after reading several posts on the forum.the result was my best day yet,finished with 54 birds in 3 hours shooting! they just kept coming straight to the magnet with 2 dead birds on.i've never tried the magnet before,as when i have been pigeon shooting with it, the crows have veered off when seeing it with pigeons on.just goes to show what you can learn off this forum!

i've been using 2 foot garden canes lately to good effect.inserted through body to the head, the wings hang down and give added movement in the lightest of winds.they also weigh next to nothing and easily fit in the gun slip.
