I recently bought 500 Winchester subs from Essex Guns at the Fennes shooting ground ( Braintree) for £43.

10 more last thursday. Total= 488

Went out decoying yesterday, but nothing was moving, nothing was flying, so the gamekeeper asked if i would like to clear some of the woods of squirrels. Ended up with 19. Total = 442

2 this morning with the air rifle in the back garden. Total 11

I use a sniper system bipod. On the first trip out the nut that holds the sling swivel fell off. Replaced the nut and put lock tight on. Now, when lowering the legs they rub on the metal outers and are slowly wearing away the metal. Will now be changing over to Harris bipod.

Winchester all the way. Used to use Eley ( approx 2000 rounds) but they became a problem when they would not eject. Since using Winchester, (which group equally as good as the Eley) i have noticed that they seem to hit harder. No turning back now

For the last two years i have been using an MTC Mamba on my CZ 22lr. I have just recently bought a Lightstream 4.5-14x44 which is in the first field plane( now fitted to the CZ) . Comparing it to the MTC, it just blows the MTC glass away for clarity. Having been out at last light and also lamping the reticle is very clear, even when not turning the lamp up to full power( to illuminate the rabbits) . I have zeroed the sight at 60 yards,the hold over for 5o yards( above) and 70 yards ( below) are in the space between the first mill dot and cross hair, so not ideal but if you have time it is easy to make the alteration with the elevation turret, the clicks are very positive so it is easy to adjust at night without light.
