  1. I do get to Manchester and Derby, all over in fact with work so maybe an option to meet up? Cheers
  2. That's a good question, I had it from new and used it a few times a year in the woods for logging. Also the odd garden job too. Id say about 7nor 8 years as that would tie in with the timeframe for when I had access to the woods for logs. That's the reason I bought it. Cheers
  3. Hi, Up for sale , Stihl MS211 chainsaw good condition used the other day to take out some trees and now very much surplus to requirements. Starts and runs, cuts well but could probably do with a sharpen and a quick clean up. £200 Have also got a Stihl HS45 hedge trimmer, starts and runs and cuts well with plenty of power. Not used since last autumn though so could again do with a clean up £70 Would prefer the items to be collected due to size and what they are. Located in Lichfield, Staffs

  6. Hi Folks, An appeal to the masses, not for me but an elderly relative who has a large plot that needs some help with the garden. Unfortunately as is the world now a days my Aunt is being well and truly ripped off by some folks for grass cutting / strimming. Latest is to mow the orchard using her own sit on mower and leave the cuttings on site - 60 quid. Took about an hour she said and didnt do a great job by the sound of it. If any one can PM if they do this kind of work we can have a chat ref going rates in the area etc?? Thanks in advance J

    pizza oven

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Your-Brick-Oven-Building-baking/dp/190494325X Hi, I have one I built years ago, built using some ideas from the following book. Used normal solid clay bricks halved, dome is approx 1m rendered and then re bricked with slips over the top for effect. Not only Pizza but roasts too, use it for cold smoking along with a small smoke generator. It's a nice project to have a go at but does take some time and effort but results are well worth it. Hi Just binned a red top fly trap we had from poundworld closing down sale. It's been in the garden by the chicken pen for a week and it's full ! Stinks to high heaven now but I suppose 6 inches deep of dead flies doesnt help! Cheers

  15. Just a heads up if anyone was planning on going as we do every year - show has been cancelled as site waterlogged. Shame as one of the last decent shows of the season Cheers J It is with great regret, that following a Health & Safety meeting held on the show site at midday today (28.09.17), the 2017 show has been cancelled The Show site has become waterlogged and, with considerably more rain scheduled for the next 24 hours, it has been necessary to cancel on the basis that we cannot be sure of the safety of our volunteers and visitors. Clearly, this decision has not been taken lightly. We are very sorry as we are aware of the huge amount of work and input from everyone involved from stall holders, competitors to committee members. The process of refunds will be confirmed at a later date as our main concern today is letting everyone know of the cancellation Finally, we really are sorry to be sharing such disappointing news with you at such a late hour but we have recognised our responsibilities and taken appropriate action. I hope that we can welcome you back next year to a dry and sunny site.
  16. Hi, Always used these for work on both chimneys and woodburners and for sweeping. Father and Son team good service and local too. Cheers J https://nacs.org.uk/safeheat-incorporating-tamworth-sweeps/

  19. If there are thorns on the bush, gooseberry for sure I have a couple of these in the plot, nice and sweet when ripe !
  20. I'd go for a briwax with a stain in it, brilliant stuff and easy to keep maintained. If you do get a dink or knock out the surface it just adds character. Cheers J
  21. No landline here, had it cancelled a long time ago but I did port the BT number to a VOIP provider so we retained the landline number. Our internet is delivered via rural wireless solution so dont need a physical line for internet. £2 pound a month rental for the VOIP and only charged for calls on PAYG, cant remember last time had a bill as just pre buy calls in £10 blocks. Cheers J
  22. HI, Are wood offcuts still available? Would be ideal for some small prject I'm looking to do. Cheers J
