  1. well the guy said to me because its antique you dont need a to add it to your permit, only modern replicas made after a certain date (ie primer/percution cap ones) and that id only need request a Black powder permit, But he also said pyrodex (an alternative) didnt require a permit. But i don't know i don't want to take it an then get a nasty suprise so im just gunner ring my F.L.O an find out for sure.
  2. Thanks , am i right in asuming these go on your firearms certificate or would it be shotgun being smooth bore im a little confused, Just iv'e been offered a really nice one and im seriously thinking about it

Any sign or reports of large numbers of muslims leaving the united states? (evacuation)
  4. **** but wait its not funny cus its bloody true
  5. Very nice, thanks for posting that!
  6. thats deffinatly a job for the misses
  7. No - I'd never use anything like that. My mod is a stout aluminium one, and yes, the smack from the rabbit is ten times louder than the sound of the rifle. I just get a sort of a 'ping' noise from the gun, which I think is the shockwave travelling through the barrel. The outfit is much quieter than any of the air rifles I've had, including the old TX with the same mod on it. The barrel length at 24 inches may help - not sure, but I suspect that the powder burn having stopped a full ten inches before the mod, there may be less energy in the gasses as they enter it. That's a guess, but sounds logical to me. Well heres a shock there is a parker hale fiberglass moderator thats proofed for 22lr http://www.chambersgunmakers.co.uk/Silencers.htm You wont see me rushing out to buy one but there you go.... And yep Air guns propel to the end of the barrel so theres more work for the moderator.
  8. Did you ask her if she eats meat?, if not next time she rings ask her what she had for dinner..... Yes yes Shooting rabbits is wrong but eating a hamburger is different Hmmmm right... Better still ask her if she has a pet cat and if she ever gives it Rabbit flavour Wiska's... They seem to think somehow that cus its in a Can its different. The ones that really make me laugh are the vegitarians who eat fish and so called white meet, Now somebody please explain to me how a fish or chicken is a vegetable
  9. any info on muzzle-loading rifles?
  10. Here you go..... Very nice thankyou any more?
  11. Im sure the finfire is a fine rifle and this is no way ment to cause offence to anyone, But personally cannot stand Wood, I just hate Tree being on a rifle, It's got to be ABS or no deal.
  12. Anyone have a picture of their 16" sillouette or style with a moderator fitted?
  13. Ok one last question how does the accuracy compare between the two? cz & sako , and does it look like a fence post with a moderator cus i noticed they only do it with the 22 inch barrel Anyone have a picture of their sako quad with a moderator fitted?
  14. No the brookies kit is for a CZ, most sako owners would be pretty insulted if you even suggested the CZ and Sako had anything in common. My point is if you look at the sako centerfire range they have always offered several trigger options (normally single set triggers) as a factory installed option. It may be they offer something similar for the Quad (although i wouldnt hold your breath) They better!!
  15. A .22rf has @ 1 --1½ grns of powder to push a 40grn bullet @ 1050fps A .22cf has anywhere between 20 grsn and 50grns of powder and can push 40. 50 52, 60 ………..all the way up to @80grn bullets at velocities of 3500 fps. As for muzzle energy, the .22rf sub produces @ 90 ftlbs The .22cf can and does produce energies far in excess of 10X that….and more. I really do think that you ought to search around on the net and find out a little more about rifles. Have a look through this for starters – http://www.stevespages.com/page8d.htm G.M. How about .22 Wmr ?and how do these sit for fox control >?
  16. No problem mate, You can't put a thread like this up and not expect to get some Flack for it, And your right to question it that was the real point in the thread to debait the actual stance regarding these Cats. When a shooter first said to me they had seen one, I can assure you i was Extremely skeptical to say the least, some of the UFO quotes and Other comments have rung very similar to ones that were ringing in my head at the time they said it.... But, after finding that print and speaking to numerous experienced shooters and other profesional bodys such as the police and big cat society, Well, let me tell you that humble pie sure didnt taste nice  As for actual numbers & species I would not like to say or guess, I really have no idea. What i will say is that if all the Rabbits suddenly disapear from your shoot, and you happen to find a very large foot print near by, that happens to match perfectly with one from a puma. You might want to atleast consider the posibility that something else maybe around.
  17. Will be when I get around to taking them out of the freezer. By the way, that Mod on the rifle is an airgun one - a bit dodgymaybe (??), but not really. It met with a slight accident once upon a time on an pld airrifle and began clipping the airgun pellets because it was slightly offline with the barrel. I took out the guts and bored out the end plate to 8mm. The gun is almost totally quiet with eley subs - just a 'ping' - half of which is the firing pin striking the cartrdge. I know it should be a proofed one but it's had about five hundred through it and only needs the powder residue emptied out now and then. I'm not sure about the legalities of proof, but I wouldn't pass it on to anyone else to use so I'm not too bothered. Ah someone else who likes the elley subs, their good rounds better than winchesters in my opinion, Duno about the moderator... Ive heard of people using the logun ones on 22lr's but i wouldnt recomend it being fiberglass Have found using elleys and a parker hail you get more of a bang from the rabbit being hit than the rifle As far as im aware (don't quote me on this) but thought a 22 Rimfire & 22 Center fire were the same the only difference being the primer is in the center rather than the rim of the case. I thought they both still had the same charge load but im not certain.
  18. No you can’t, as the magazine and the trigger guard “well†isn’t big enough to take the HMR or the WMR magazine/cartridges. The only other cartridge that you could convert the .22rf to is the .17 Mach 2, which is basically a waste of time and money. After all why have a .17 that delivers @ 25% less velocity when it’s that velocity that makes the .17hmr the rifle it is. Perhaps you are getting muxed ip with the Sako Quad. G.M. its The Sako Quad i was refering too..... Not the CZ "personaly i prefer the sako". Sorry I should have made the refference to Quad more clearly
  19. @ £12 I never actually bought one, due to the fact that I had some brass tube from a left-over model. Took a couple of turns of the trigger spring…and hey presto a better trigger than my Sako. The CZ is also almost half the price of the Sako and has all steel parts including the trigger guard and the magazine. They are plastic on the Sako and do make the more expensive rifle feel a bit tacky, but this is balanced up by the better stock which has proper cast on the butt and also has a nicely shaped cheek-piece. You could argue that the Sako has a better made barrel than the CZ, but at normal .22ranges this is pretty hard to differentiate. The only thing about the Sako is that it comes up to the aim very naturally and it’s a shame that CZ don’t do this as it wouldn’t be any more expensive to offer a more ergonomically shaped bit of wood. Very well made rifles though. G.M. Personaly i prefer the sako as it can be upgraded to WMR and with the option of HMR aswell , not to mention a nicer peace of platic for the stock and IMO a nicer looking bolt, I know where my moneys going
  20. will the Brookes kit fit it? Buy a quality rifle new for near half a grand and have to rip out the trigger mech straight away
  21. how much do the Brookes kits go for ?
  22. Does the Silhouette have a two stage adjustable trigger?
  23. Ah **** so you do actually have to recall for each barrel... ****** they gave the impression the scope did it for you.... And no two stage trigger hmmm when you its nice what kind of setup is it does it have two clicks? or just the single? single..... just a plain trigger.... hense the name Ah nuts  can it be upgraded?
