  1. That is absolutely insane. He shot his foot with the pistol then carried on as if nothing had happened. :D:drinks:

At first glance you would think he used a Blank Cartridge and a blood bag and that it was part of his act. No, this guy really did shoot himself in the foot literally :good:

Needless to say his presentation was a success im sure those kids never played with guns again.

  2. not getting into this argument but. most of this is wrong.

Game keepers allowed Resonable force nothing more. The laws of trespace only apply if the owner of the dog intentional sent or escorted the dog onto the land if it strayed by its own you are only allowed by the law to scare it away. (resonable force)

  3. What do you say to that?....................

But Wait cus you havnt seen anything untill you have seen these two clips

DEA COP shoots himself Whilst giving a lecture on gun saftey.

Conclusive proof that americans are Retarded.

  4. Anyone know anything about flat flies, hippoboscids? Those horrible little grey looking monsters that you mostly see on black game (rooks crows etc) that don’t seem to fly so much as hop. They are a blood sucking louse fly that lives almost exclusively on birds so does anyone know (scientific answers please not conjecture) if they can carry diseases like ticks do? I believe they are becoming a problem in the USA with the West Nile Fever virus.

And you thought we had a problem with bird flu???

Duno about those things but watch out for those ticks :D (limes disease)

  5. Shooting someones dog :lol::good:

Make the owner pay for the damages, theres no need to break the law or get yourself into trouble with the rspca or shoot an animal because of its wreckless owner. Just call the police count up your lost animals (which would be shot anyway) add up the bill and forward it.

  6. LOL - Yes licensing dog ownership and insisting on conditions because some fool doesn't take proper care, would be stupid, wouldn't it, but wait..... What's the difference between that stupid idea and the other one which suggests the licensing of airguns and enforcment of more controls would be a good idea? They both have exactly the same flaw - forcing controls on the mass of sane people to try to deal with the behaviour of a minority of fools.

    Thats a very fare point..

  7. Bloody hell the media got something right for once

    But wait

    Quote:

Keith Hall, of Hallswood Animal Sanctuary, is calling for all dogs to be muzzled and for owners to have licences

“We need serious law changes and for people to understand they have a responsibility to the dog, themselves and the general public. Every dog should be muzzled unless it is completely controlled and by law you should have to have insurance for your dog.â€

*** :yp: I can just see all the little old ladys chiwawa's on group 7 insurance muzzeld licensed and chained :)

Edit: well this is really fare to us responsible keepers, Now we have to do all this B/S because of some stupid wreckless *****, And the worst part is all the Chavs that walk around with aggresive Pits are never going to abide by this its only going to be people that would never allow their dog to harm someone in the first place

  8. its the owners who are in the wrong.

I totaly agree, if your the owner of a dog especialy a trained attack dog. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure it does not harm somebody. And if your a parent it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the saftey of your child. In this case Both were at Fault!

Who pays the price for it?, The dogs :yp: :)

Whilst I appreciate terrible tragedies happen my suspicious mind simply can not allow me to believe these two incidents are unrelated.

I put my money on the real father of the child being involved.

  9. Having been saddened and shocked by the baby being mauled to death by two rottweilers at the weekend, I have now found this news clip.

    Whats going on ?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/leicest...ire/5378816.stm

    What the hell :yp:

how did the accident happen ? where was the child? surely not in the pub wit the dogs ? what do the landlord/lady have to say about the inccident ?

as i read years back and truly beleive "nothing saddens god more than the death of a child"

from the book of counted sorrows .

    Martin

Not being funny and no disrespect to the family this is an awfull thing to happen And i do feel very bad for them, BUT it was their fault, im sorry if that causes offence but the fact of the matter is, They left a door unlocked and open allowing the dogs out! , They left a BABY un attended in another room!!, they also left the door to the room the baby was in Open!! , And in so doing They allowed two Trained Attack/Gaurd dogs to enter the room with a child. Case Closed .

I have a dog hes perfectly tame never harmed anyone, dispite this i Would NEVER leave him alone with a child Or allow for there to be a chance for this to happen. You never take risks with children, Negligence caused this.

A Gaurd is A Gaurd dog. It is trained to Attack!!!, They should have taken precautions to prevent it.

  10. 100yds measure with a range finder flat calm not a breath of wind laid prone of bypod :good::good:

For some reason picture not working :good:??????:o???

Damn mate thats good going  I take it thats hmr though?

  11. It really is disgusting, I just can't figure out the mentality of these people. Two wrongs don't make a right. I watched that program on the Guinea Pig farm the other night again. To go as far as to desicrate a grave is beyond belief. Stonger laws should be introduced to stop this sought of behaviour.

You know what the real **** Take with these people is?

Most of them eat meat!!!! ITs not like their even vegitarians ;) their quite happy eating a battery hen thats had its throat cut, Or a pork chop thats come from a Half stung pig thats had its throat slit.

But if you go out an humanely head shot a bunny oh well thats bloody awfull isnt it.

They should make these people go to a Slaughterhouse....

You can bet your aris the women harrassing his family has a pet cat, And you can also bet your aris from time to time she feeds it a can of Rabbit flavoured Wiska's Oh wait but thats different isnt it because its in a CAN

  12. we work real FAST, 3 of us did 400 rabbits last nite ,taken, cleaned & ready for the pot in 4 hours..beat that !!

& may the good Lord go with you...

    ;)

400x 5lb how exactly did you carry 2000lbs?

    (1 short ton = 2 000 pounds)

  13. If you want to use it then it needs to go on a certificate regardless of how old it is or if it is an antique.

If it is smoothbore and you want to use lead shot then it can go on a SGC

If you want to use solid shot, i.e. a bullet then it needs to go on an FAC

Excellent thanks rarms I had a feeling it would.... :good: I smell variation coming lol

  14. we loaded them with 80 grains of FFG powder instead of the customary practice load of 52 grains. We were shooting prone and I watched my guy get pushed back six inches by the recoil and a six foot spout of flame came out the front. He nearly S*at himself. LOL.

Trying to shoot round ball out of a smooth bore musket at a target range is VERY frustrating. You'll get 24 inch groups if you are lucky at a hundred yards, wheras a good rifle will be around 2 or three inches. the main limitation is open sights, nit the rifle.

It is GREAT fun I promise you, but you'll have to use it at a range. I doubt the FLO will let you play around with it on a farm.

    EDIT:

    MOST IMPRTANT POINT MIMIC -

IF THIS IS A REAL ANTIQUE, FOR GOD'S SAKE DO GET IT PROOFED BEFORE YOU SHOOT IT. YOU COULD END UP MINUS FINGERS OR HALF YOUR FACE OTHERWISE IF ITS RUSTED MUCH, AND IT WILL BE. THAT BLACK POWDER EATS UP BARRELS LIKE NOWT ELSE CAN. IT PRODUCES SULPHURIC ACID IF NOT CLEANED REALLY WELL.

Lol thats a little mean I doubt they accepted a go on your gun again lol, Don't you worry mate im not that stupid Id never pull the trigger on something that wasnt tested :good: Not only do you put yourself at great risk but other shooters near you. Still good advice! ,Iv'e seen the aftermath of a 6 shooter pistol guy who didnt re test regularly... It wasnt pleasnt luckily no one else was hurt.

  15. Oh I thought when you mentioned muzzle loading rifles you were going to use it. I'd recommend muzzle loading shooting if you like the look of antique things. They are great fun to use and VERY powerful things. I used to shoot a three band Enfield 1853 rifled musket. It was a .77 caiber with bullets weighing an ounce and a quarter (about 500 grain). Hilarious fun at a 900 fps. Trouble was, you came home with a face like a chimney sweep after an afternoon shooting it. I had an original bayonet on mine with three notches carved in it. The gun was a repro of course, and whoever mentioned the explosives licence is right of course if you wanted to use proper black powder. The thing was nearly as long as me (not quite) with a 33 inch barrel.

Maybe we should have the .177 or .577 for rabbits debate...

    miniballgb7.jpg

Bloody right im gunner use it, Ive liked muskets ever since the first time i shot one (ten years ago) and nearly knocked me flying, filled the entire range with smoke and i couldnt see the target for ten minutes but Uh what a gun :good: I just need to find out for certain if being antique it still needs to go on my Fac or Sg certificate cuz that means making a variation :/

I know every catridge head will slag down muskets, But they have no idea what their missing out on, Wondefull guns ,Clunk, Spark , Fizel , WUPOOOW, Fire blast, Huge cloud of smoke a recoil that can knock over a horse, I dont care if i get a black face it's totaly worth it
