  1. Cheers people, he dropped it off to a gun smith to sort it, the front stud had snapped off. He made a new one, fitted it and also a new spring and zeroed it for 50 quid, not bad I thought.
  2. The xl model does not have one!! It has the full length thin moderator on it. And there are no fixings that I can see at all, the front of the mod unscrews and that's it!!!!!
  3. My son as the above and has started to shoot like a bag of nails, on me taking it to the range to re zero it I found that the moderator is loose, this is what I think is throwing the rifle off target and I have no idea how to refit it?? Any ideas anyone, or is it a gun smith job??
  4. If you want a good all round PCP look at the air arm s410 or new s510, they are built to a very high standard and you will put pellet on pellet at 30 yards with no problem
  5. Was it?? There was a shoot in the next field from me today with beaters working with the dogs putting birds up for the guns???
  6. I have seen it loads of times when my harris hawk was on there behind lol, and a few times whilst out shooting
  7. Still had no joy with the bunny's, been back out there twice scence with no joy. But as for the rabbits I think I might have to invest in some lamping gear.
  8. Yes mate, they will jump and do what ever it takes to get away.
  9. I am a 100% that its beech mate, the walnut stock has rosewood (not ebony sorry) laminates on the forend and under the grip and is also a darker richer colour with depth in the grain.
  10. It does not look like a walnut stock?? My s400 has a walnut stock, and has the ebony fore end along with another under the grip!!
  11. Ok after much thought and me upgrading to FAC i have for sale my mint S400 classic with right handed walnut stock, this rifle has not got a mark on it, and has been mostly used on the indoor range. It is a .177 and has a weihrauch moderator fitted and comes with a tasco 6-24x50 AO IR scope, sports match mounts and Flabueau shaped hard carry case and filling adopter. The rifle it standard 12flbs and very very clean, the one and only fault is the the front scope cover is about to bust off the elastic but thats it. It also as swivel studs fitted but no sling, i will post at buyer expence but you will have to inform me what company to use to do this and i am looking for £450.00 ono but as i have said this is in show room condition and i will email pictures on request, payments to be made by cash or bank transfer. Many thanks
  12. Cheers chaps, i have an s400 with silencer and is very quite. I am going back out tomorrow and have a good spot in mind that will put me within 30 yards, so i will move in then drop down and crawl and wait. I did place a large fallen branch there today so i will be able to get behind that and see what happens
  13. You can tell i am out of practice, to use to using a heat seeking hawk for them But i have packed them in now as i had no time to look after her.
