  1. the physios got me standing and being able sit in a chair, right on the verge of being able to walk with the help of a frame, would you believe tested positive for corvid today
  2. thanks finally stopped the IV antibiotics yesterday, was on 4 doses a day, still confined to bed though the physiotherapist's did try to get me stood up yesterday, WOW, was shaking with the effort, had to be supported just to stand, it must have been quite a close call caught just in time
  3. 4. have an e class estate CDI, knocking about on the lanes shows 40 - 45, went down to Manchester 117 mile round trip dash showed 47mpg, that is on supermarket fuel with an accidently added amount of petrol,(28 litres) currently being diluted out at every chance, not so hot starting chugs a bit, but runs ok no funny noises

  10. to give you an idea, I paid a £100 for my Brattonsound, absolutely as new, vault type door, extra deep 7 gun, internal shelf. also bought his keypad ammo safe £20, (not brattonsound) make sure it comes with both keys
  11. shooting a lightweight side by side one would surely be using 1oz 'impax' type cartridges, that is what they were made for
  12. strong engine, they normally good if its been properly maintained, if looking at a those kind of high miles I would be looking for a younger one 4 years old max with full Merc history,
  13. from owning eell's I would think the 687 "classic" eell fixed choke field model would be the lightest, mine were 28" and certainly felt light, I now own a 28" multi choke 687 eell sporter with the vented mid rib and that certainly does not feel heavy, mind its all to do with the handling and balance. you need to get 'hands on' go out and handle some
  14. just shot my first one of the year, won't even let the dog retrieve them never mind eat one. disgusting, smelly ugly things 122 yds (checked on google maps) offhand with the HMR, difficult to get chest shots, took another couple from closer range to finish it, have empty dog food bags in the motor just for putting them in
  15. mine worked fine until they go a bath via a can of coke then put in their case and forgot about for a couple of months, still used them for 5 or 6 years because one still works, had no problem last year about buying a new pair, easier to turn off and on, 3 levels of volume
  16. well over 72 hours now, no side effects at all at all not even a sore arm
  17. 24 hours since my first jab, AstraZeneca, do not feel any side effects at all, touch wood, restless night but that is more down to the hot pork pies with brown sauce for lunch combined with my hiatus hernia thank you to all contributors.
  18. this place sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for - https://www.bettwshall.com/accommodation county sports friendly as well
  19. when I was looking to buy ended up with a Husky 435, just for logging for my self, been well pleased with the performance after the Mccullock I had from new I killed, have cut up some big diameter wind blown beech with it no problems, have run it on Aspen or Sthil from new
  20. Morris Minor traveller, having to boil a kettle to pour over the frozen petrol pump, no water in the actual pump was just froze,
  21. carefull, he'll cut you to pieces with his wit. then again has nothing to contribute but it will get his post count up big thank you to everyone that contributed, won't be much happening now its here in the backwoods
  22. thanks for that Walker 570, I am definitely having it, just wanted feedback from people like your selves who have had the jab them selves and their reaction to it
  23. Hi all want to put this here and not in the sub forum as more will see it. pal had the jab and it made him ill for a couple of days, loose bowels, really bad muscle pain, aching all over falling asleep all the time he was so tired, he is 20 years younger than me, me I'm in my 70's, kidney transplant, aortic valve replacement, just a creaking gate really. so are side effects common considering its not a live vaccine got the Jab scheduled for Tuesday
  24. RC steel 32gram 4's are my go to cartridge for inland duck, kill well use 1/4 and 1/4, impressive kills, you know they are a good cartridge when the other guns ask what you are using
