    Jimmy's Farm

yes very good program , only thing that dosn't strike true is all the new kit about , NEW 4x4 , with NEW ifor trailer , NEW compact tractors etc , most farm enterprises of that size , would be knocking about with 10 or more ,year old stuff , the BBC must pay well is all i can say , but gives an in-site to the problems in farming , that has been, all but ruined by the supermarkets . with the anything if its cheap mentality .
  3. #old rooster just shows what putting 'lefty right -on suits' in charge gives you ! and they will find enough money even if it means some poor sod on the nhs goes without his operation ,
  4. we dont have a proper winter here any more , b***y good job , due to global warming , keep going with the oil burners !! i can put up with no snow , ice etc it justs make work for me , not only that ,can you see the health and safety in this nanny state allowing you to pelt down a ice slope at 85mph an inch off the ground , without a lot of finger wagging , some chance !! **** Off BLAIR . andy

im a shepherd , and love it ! just wish the supermarket buyers would die a long and painful death
  6. whats the battery like ?, as this is what will devalue it eventually , new ones can be £100 , also is there many dead pixels (v small black dots on screen ) on lcd , price sounds about right andy
  7. i had a toyota a few years back , they are very good , the only trouble with them is our stupid over strict mot tests , as rust gets most in the end , and they cost a fortune in spares , £500 for cracked leaf springs ? but you can see why countries with no mots love them , they go on for ever . andy
  8. my 13year old son regulary beats me with his franchi 20 , on sporting clays , i think unless you need to shoot something a long way off there is not much difference with most targets or birds , though i wouldn't like to shoot hares and the like with a 20 , andy
  9. dont worry about dirt , you can wash in the washing machine evry few months if you want ,
  10. loads on ebay , justa tip look on the .com (usa)site as they are cheaper even with the postage approx £10 -£15 inc post , here they tend to be £15 plus £3.50 post , also look for variations of the same thing . andy

  12. Two old ladies are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it starts to rain. One of the old ladies pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her cigarette, and continues smoking. Maude: What in the hell is that? Mable: A con dom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet. Maude: Where did you get it? Mable: You can get them at any chemist. The next day, Maude hobbles herself into the local chemist and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of con doms. The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom she prefers. "Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel." The pharmacist fainted.
  13. i was in the same situation, i had an old sarasqueta sbs i had shot mainly field game , hare etc , then my son wanted to get into clay shooting so thought better upgrade to a o/u , did loads of reserch , eventually settled for a franchi harrier multi choke 20b for him , absolutly beautiful light gun , its one of the baretta family and very similar to the beretta 686 he used at the clay range , so well built and not very expensive ,(I paid approx £560 new ) and the beauty is that the franchis are made to accept different barrels from the same make , as well ,so will be easy to upgrade to a 12b ,without having to get used to a totally new gun , getting a multi choke is a good idea , as you can use the open chokes for clays and the tighter ones for more general work , i,m so pleased with my purchase i,m looking for a franchi alcione for myself , all the best andy
  14. very interesting post , as my sons franchi 20b had the same problem last weekend, which is also new , seemed to settle down after a few clays , andy
  15. not a auto but i have a harrier 20b, fantastic gun but as said they need wearing in ,as there seems to be inner edges that need polishing off , but the build quality is excellent though
  16. I like the franchis ,( never tried the autos )especially the newer game /sporter guns with m/c , and they are owned by beretta so will probally be like the skoda / vw brand , and a lot cheaper than berettas own , andy
  17. any pics of the whole gun together ? thanks andy
  18. jacky , you need the http:// in front to complete the links , all the best andy
  19. adam I had a look and the bettinsoli but didnt like the heavy gloss varnish which i thought made it look cheap , its was also a bit on the heavy side . but seemed a sound gun # Rob have been looking around for a franchi 20b for my 13 year old son to start on clays , he's been using the club beratta 626 , but i like the look of the franchi ,and its another gmk brand (same as beretta and lanber) how light is it ?, is yours a 28 m/c , its either that or a whitewing beretta . The only thing that has made me stutter is the resale value , andy
  20. anyone know anything about silverpoint sidelock 12g ejector shotguns , i have a nearly new one only fired approx 50 shots cant find any info on the net , are they spanish ? was bought by my wife at a bankrupt gun dealer auction , also has somerton guns on the barrels but they were the dealers in somerset , Am looking to trade it in against a beretta , or franchi 20g m/c for my son, local dealer said no call for sbs guns , and offered silly price , but i see 2 on guntrader secondhand for near £900 , just want a fair price so am trying to find out what i can ,it has beautiful engraving , and really pretty oiled wood stock with brass oval , its away at the moment in storage but will post pics as soon as its back , thanks andy
