I’m going to add to the confusion now 🤔

one would assume that if you were to send your gun to the proof houses for hp steel proof they would use a larger load of powder and larger amounts of steel shot in a proof loading

not quite like that it appears that steel proof is tested with a lead load

it done on pressure measurements at and near the breech no measurements are taken or required at the choke area of the muzzle

so you’re steel proof gun is actually proofed for a higher pressure lead cartridge

    🤔

They proof with a steel cartridge,  I asked.

Hi Mat    Are you saying Harry had the advantage of using a sawn off scatter gun ? , that could had been one very unlucky Mallard to be flying within the fumes of a carton of Mac Donalds strong coffee and a riot shotgun .😄

P S  Have you still got your dog Frank ?

I seem to recall he hadn't shot a duck on the shore until he had the barrel sawn off, it gave us all a good laugh!

Yes I've still got Frank, he's 9 now,  he'll be out on the 1st with the young chesapeake by his side

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍

In my younger days I'd set off from Chesterfield at 10pm to arrive at the marsh car park at 00.30 on the 1st with a McDonald's n coffee. Get my head down in the car till the headlights wake me up with cars arriving at 02.30. Have a laugh and a joke with folks you'd not seen for a while and set off. When I think about this particular car park I remember Ayano3 who is sadly not here with us anymore 😢

In fact in 2014 I was the only person to shoot a mallard on that marsh that morning which was more luck than judgement 😅 good job that a chap retrieved it as my previous dog (ping pong) would have made a meal of it.

Enjoy the morning whoever is out 👍👍

I seem to recall you were shooting a sawn off back then?

Easiest pup iv ever had... House trained, comes to whistle, sits to whistle, smiles on command, sits and waits till told to eat.... And in 8 days has put 3.6 kg on... I'm expecting the devil to emerge from him at some point tho

The devil will be along in time, mine was the same!

  5. I had a Silma over under 20 for a few years, well build gun.

If you're reloading , the over under is better. 28gram hw-13 or steel works nicely.

Personally,  when I get another it'll be an auto, probably an Armsan.

I expect Centrica can afford to give them a bung though, ordinary shares valued at £364,627,475.21 if indeed they did. Could be FAKE NEWS!

They have only officially come on board in the last couple of days.

This is the first article I saw about it on 19th.

    https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/23136373.hunstanton-skegness-barrage-port-plan-revealed/?ref=fbshr

Quite how it rejuvenates Boston, Lynn and Wisbech I don't know.

Is that the same company though?  Peter Dawe runs that company, and I can't see any serious financiers wanting to invest in a scheme run by him, here's an article on one of his other "projects"

Brexit Party candidate charging up to £100,000 a person for place at post-apocalyptic farm | The Scotsman

From what I can see, its his idea with the plans being fronted by Centre Port Holdings Ltd, which has recieved funding from Centrica.

  8. Hopefully this incident will bring further investigation into the whole company.

Whilst this is the first major crash I've heard of, it's far from the first AD trailer on it side. 30 I believe was last years tally.

They drive with no care for others, and the boss of the AD plant has been videoing saying she doesn't give a toss if it upsets any one in the area.

How they haven't killed anyone yet is just pure luck.
