  1. I don't like going without the dog , no matter what the weather conditions. In the fog just makes it trickier, you can soon loose a goose into some of the little ankle breakers.
  2. I hear the 18 in 9s in good on duck, I've yet to invest in any to try through the 12.
  3. is that the TSS 15 or 18 you're using?
  4. That would be the plan, she only ever comes shooting half a dozen times a year. I bet it makes a nice fast duck gun
  5. Hello all, Is anyone using a 28 bore semi auto? The girlfriend has hinted that I need to get her a new gun, after I sold her 20 bore ( well the one I bought myself that she claimed). She never really like the 20 over under, 28 bore semi auto fits the bill for what she wants, the Armsan seems reasonably priced on guntrader. thanks mat
  6. If you're going to use TSS, you're better off going down to a 20 or 28 bore. You'd be throwing money into the air for no reason using a big gun with TSS. Bismuth or ITM through a bored out 8, if you want to know more about them, ring Elderkins, they've bored a few out.
  7. They told me G4 had just been sacked 2 years ago...
  8. Just bearing in mind HCC, whatever drill you use, if you get it hot, it'll be knackered. Best bet is angle grinder
  9. Chuck it, my last one caught fire while cutting one day, think its replacement only cost £25. the old one had done some serious work mind!
  10. Not that I buy barley, but I just checked local feed merchant that I get my livestock feed from, £5.29 for 20kg barley.
  11. I think we're best waiting for the full document that is supposed to be coming tomorrow, hopefully that'll give clarity. I know one thing, if they say you can travel for exercise, but not go fowling, i'll be more than miffed! Could walk the dog down the foreshore, but not shoot it.
  12. Deer belong to whoevers land they die on.
  13. Can't complain HCC, plodding along, shooting a few duck as we go!
  14. I'd have though, that with you being Chesterfields biggest property barron, you'd be buying that!
  15. My stormcloth one was naff, showerproof at best. Trousers were comfy though.
  16. I never stopped eating them, local Co Op sells some nice ones
  17. Sliced, cooked in frying pan with abit of seasame oil, then into a wrap with hoisin, cucumber and spring onion
  18. Well no, what everyone is saying, is that a wild goose is not the best choice for Christmas dinner. It could be an old tough goose, or feeding on snails etc, but with a farmed goose, you've got a more consistent product with alot more fat on it For a wild goose, we cook them different ways , because we recognise they're slightly different from a farmed one.
  19. https://fenntool.com/ Try these guys, we have alot of their stuff at work, very good aftersales as well.

    Irish passport

I'm eligible but have not applied yet due to not having the money to do it. I believe it is fairly simple, as long as you have all the paperwork in place. I have to get a copy of my grandfathers Irish birth certificate before I can start. Those who I've spoked to in Ireland about it, have been very helpful.
  21. Words of advice JDog, don't bring a flask of coffee, motty will want to drink it all!
  22. My hob went missing earlier in the year, fed him at 10pm, shut the cage. At 1am he was spotted on the side of a main road 3 miles away, I suspect human intervention. Anyhow, he stuck around that spot, and a passer by managed to catch him 2 nights later, we'd left a cage out and she stuck him in there for me to pick up.
  23. It worked if you clicked the link , I just looked at it. I wont post my sunrise photo , there is too many bits that give away my location on it!
  24. I would say it's more due to a lack of Fowler's on this site now, I read but rarely post anymore. 1st was as busy as usual where I went, my recon paid off and from what I could hear, others had a good morning.
