What is it you are trying to search for? Is it OS grid references? http://streetmap.co.uk/newdefaulte2.htm (if it pope up with the new site there is a link to go back to the old site). The old one lets you search by grid reference, it might be worth a go!
  2. I am trying to find someone I can learn from! I do a fair bit of clay shooting but am new to pigeon shooting. I figured that all the reading in the world about decoy patterns/ hide building etc is no subsitiute for watching someone who actualy knows what they are talking about! Happy to pick up etc (dont mind leaving gun at home even) but just want to get out and pick up a few tips. Can provide transport and a flask of your chosen brew Im in Newton le willows, Merseyside but willing to travel within an hour or 2 for a day out! Any offers gratefuly received! Thanks, Mike
  3. Another vote for open office. I regularly email word docs to work that wont open on the older version of word I have there. Open office writer always opens them without fail!

  5. It will definately be at least the psu, small chance of a duff motherboard. I would take it out (few screws in the back and a few plugs) then take it to a local small computer shop and buy one the same. I guess at more like £20 and its worth a gamble - im 90% sure it will be fine and I spent 5 years fixing them for a living. There are no internal fuses worth bothering with - I have seen one soldered inside the powerpack but on the few occasions I have replaced the fuse, its never worked and always resulted in a new power pack. Good luck!
  6. I am not looking for a freebie! I have a problem with my boiler (28cdi needs a divertor valve) and before I start ringing randoms from the yellow pages I thought I would ask on here if anyone wanted to do it? Im in Newton le willows! Cash paid, no receipts required if it helps.... Edited to say, if anyone can recommend someone for the job, that would also be good! Cheers, Mike
  7. How do you know my missus| Thanks for the comments everyone! I have been looking around and am amazed how much more expensive 20g are! I will get her a lesson or 2 and then take it from there I think. Can anyone recommend anywhere for lessons in the North west? Thanks again Mike
  8. Edited because I must learn to read original post more carefuly....
  9. As in the title really! My missus has taken a bit of interest in clay shooting and has come along a few weeks running. She can hit a few with my 12g but its too heavy for her. Mines nothing fancy, an old midland gun company o/u bt it does the job. She struggles to swing it smoothly and after a dozen shots she gets knackered! Im thinking I might get something more suitable for her (not that I fancy another toy or anything!) just to see if she actualy wants to take it up as a hobby! My 12g was less than £200, I dont want to spend a fortune on something for her to try out! I was thinking that a 410 might be making it a bit hard for a beginner (tighter pattern?) and that maybe a 20g would be more suitable? Are cartidges much more expensive for either? Of course, I am going to start looking for some pest conrol permission soon so something that may have two uses would not be a bad idea... Any suggestions gratefuly received! Mike
  10. I wouldnt waste your money! At work, we used to give people a years free MOT insurance (we paid for it) with every car we sold. It was a bit of a selling point, gave people a bit of peace of mind. Now we offer the same service but we dont use the insurance company. The occasional car costs more for repairs than the policy would have, most cost much less. On balance its cheaper for us to take the chance of some failures! Just find a decent, honest test centre - often not the one who is short of work offering £19.99 MOT tests etc!
