Knowing tignme I am sure he meant a "dead" live bird rather than a "live" live bird. He is very experienced , or maybe he meant a "live" plastic one -
What will I use these for then?
mattthehoople replied to sitsinhedges's topic in Bullets, Cartridges and Reloading
Try them at Olympic Skeet------They should be fast enough, and they will surely " DUST EM " -
Well done . You certainly did,nt "MISS AGAIN" there. Mine cost me a grand. But it was certainly worth it.

Hi I have been shooting for 40 odd years. Have used various autos, Beretta,Browning ,Winchester at clays and live targets. I now use a Benelli SBE2. Best yet. Has not missed a beat in over a year[28gm 7.5 thru to 3" magnums]. A bit pricey but in my opinion"worth it" If I had to replace it, it would definitely be another Benelli.
-
The first cartridges thru were 28gm 7.5s at clays, then 32gm No 6 lead at pigeon, then 32gm No4 steel at wildfowl with a few 3" magnum No2s when the geese appeared. It cycled whatever I put in from the start

My SBE 2 has a slight movement in the fore-end also. Not noticeable when shooting.I wont change a 1st class gun because of this

Got one today. CHEERS

It didnt float away, It probably just slipped off the branch and SWAM away. Joking aside, NICE SHOT
-
In my opinion " ITS WORTH" holding onto. Why are selling?

Here's my new Benelli, what do you think?
mattthehoople replied to Jamesnns's topic in Clay Pigeon Shooting
Identical to the one I got last year. Superb for wildfowling & pigeons. I find the inertia system more reliable than any gas operated system [not had a jam using 28gm 7.5s up to 3"magnums] cant say that about any other semi-auto I have owned. Regards the WOOD v PLASTIC comment in one of the earlier posts--its horses for courses-- I have a wood stock 32" Browning which I use for clay shooting----It would get in some state ,out wildfowling. ENJOY YOUR SHOOTING WITH A GREAT TOOL. -
: : I respect your opinion, CHEERS

I assume you were drinking some foriegn muck this evening then. Good Malt is good U.K.

If its a serious drunken debate your after, what about Good Scotch MALT whisky

I bought a Benelli super black eagle last year. I have shot pigeon, geese & duck with it and cannot fault it in any way. Better than any of the Beretta/Browning or Winchester semi-autos that I have used. P.S.-----I use a Browning 325 32in O/U for my clay shooting, but find it easy to change to the Benelli S.B.E.for my game shooting. You should not go wrong with your Benellis .
