  1. Dear All, I was wondering if you could help me here please? I've been hired by a friend to do some pest control work on behalf of his company. I have been advised that this will include small bird, rabbit, rodent and goose control. My boss has made a sum of money available for me to purchase a shotgun for the job, up to £750, if I contribute too. This will be provided when my SGC application is approved. Landlord has approved me installing a cabinet. Additionally I will also use the gun on my rough shooting permissions and for clays. I am used to Semi-Autos and Pump due to a physical disability; neither is a problem for me, however must be suitable for a left-hander (safety / trigger finger.) I am slightly better with Pumps. Could you suggest some suitable products please? Which gauge and color would be best? I also need a case which I am prepared to pay for myself. Some suggestions on suitable ammo would also be appreciated. If you need any further information please contact me. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for your time. Kind Regards, Marc Watson
  2. Does anyone have a full power multi shot CO2 or PCP in .22 for sale? Bedfordshire, up to £250. It's to replace one I had stolen in a burglary, can provide reference number as proof. Thanks.
  3. Thought my location was already in my profile? I'll add it in now! Budget wise, I'm thinking £200 - £600!
  4. Dear All, I was wondering if you could help me here please? I apologize if this is similar to the shotgun suggestion request posted previously. Please allow me to explain! Recently my eldest brother purchased two air-rifles for rabbit, pigeon and hare shooting. Our parents seem hard fast against shotguns but don't appear to object to air-rifles. My brother showed me his two yesterday and allowed me to try them for weight. He's already been granted permission to shoot on a local farm and has invited me along if I wish, when I'm ready. I have of course accepted. When I tried one of his rifles, he confirmed what I knew all along - due to my disability I require a LEFT hand weapon! To use his words, "When you had it right-handed, you were being thrown slightly out of balance." I'm not sure what he meant by this, but felt uncomfortable anyway when right handed, and a lot better on the left hand! I'm looking for an air rifle to using for pigeon, hare and rabbit shooting. What I am looking for is below: 1. Air Rifle - This must be LEFT handed 2. Scope 3. Sling Can you suggest a suitable product or products to me which I could use? I can't manage anything that has a heavy recoil, and weight also needs to be considered too. We both discussed about obtaining the weapon as I don't drive yet, (my brother said he'd take me out), but I have found a supplier whom delivers weapons to addresses on production of ID. http://www.pellpax.co.uk/ Your suggestions would be appreciated. If you need further information, please don't hesitate to contact me. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks for your time. Kind Regards, Marc Watson
  5. Dear All, Firstly I apologize for the similar look of this posting to my last question asking about shotguns, I've just found it easy to paste an email in from my account. Secondly, I'm not sure if this is in the correct area. I apologize if it isn't! Moderators please feel welcome to move it! I was wondering if you could help me here please? I'm looking for a rifle for big game shooting. My family is actively against hunting, but I'm of the opinion that as long as its humane and for the pot........ I've got a disability which in a limited way effects my mobility. I can't carry anything to heavy. My preferred types of big game are below: 1. Deer 2. Bear 3. Wild Boar 4. Mountain Lion 5. Elk If a couple of weapons may be required, please advise. I've listed the game in order of preference. Weight is an issue, I need it to be reasonably light, but not have too much recoil. Maybe even a youth model. I'm also left-handed. Can you advise me on some suitable products please? Also maybe give an idea of costs and pictures? Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards, Marc
  6. Messaged you for pictures and information. I'm looking for a gun - this might be suitable....
  7. HDAV, The mobility is related to my CP isn't too serious. It's hard to describe, basically I can't put my right foot completely to the floor. My left side is my stronger side. Might be under-estimating my ability with the weight, always seem to be to cautious....... I'm used to handling heavy stuff as I'm a DJ so....... I've done clays before at a local grounds with a friend. Can't remember what type of shotgun I borrowed from them. Should I give them a call maybe? What got me into game was two reasons. 1. I enjoyed doing the clays. 2. I love to cook and really enjoy meat. What better way to get fresh produce than to shoot and kill it yourself? My parents don't agree, but as I said before, if its for the pot.....
  8. Sent you a message with my details and registering an interest. I'm looking for a first shotgun, this might be what I need.....
  9. Dear All, I'd like some opinions if possible please. My family is actively against hunting or shooting. I'm of the opinion myself that, if its for the pot and humane, its OK! I'm against doing it for sake, but for the pot....... I've got a disability which in a limited way effects my mobility. I can't carry anything to heavy. I'm looking for a shotgun to use, preferably a side-by-side. My prefered qauries are below: 1. Pheasents 2. Pidgeons 3. Ducks 4. Grouse 5. Goose 6. Crows 7. Rabbits 8. Hares 9. Deer Can you suggest any guns? Weight is an issue, I need it to be reasonably light. Maybe even a youth model. Anyone got any ideas for a shotgun and a rifle (for the deer)?
