  1. i am a gas safe engineer and the bayonet fitting is for the use of the householder to temporarily remove the cooker for cleaning etc,so you are ok to remove for short periods of time .if your cooker has a chain then this will reattach easily but if you have a bracket then this may require altering before the cooker will fit back if you are tiling the floor, also depending how good you are at tiling the cooker may need re leveling afterwards. more importantly just be aware of any whiffs of gas after reconnection
  2. had the same problem with my lad but we found it much cheaper to insure through aviva on a commercial vehical , we have a mitsubishi warrior and it came in under a grand ,but for a shogun it was 4k.
  3. i can understand why you went in the novice group but i have always found it to be a free for all of nut jobs who want to make themselves look better by being able to overtake as many people as possible or riders who passed their test the previous week. imo track the mille and get another road bike. get into the intermediate group next time they are normally fairly competant riders with a bit more respect .having said that i have been off at cadwell (gooseneck) and snetterton (russels) but that was running in the fast group. its a great pass time buddie ,keep an eye out as well .one day at snetterton i was getting some really good lap times when some dude came past me like i was going backwards,i made some enquiries during the break to find out i was riding round with carl harris (damn that boy was quick) one more tip if you get into it get a spare set of wheels with some wets on by the way keep the damaged leathers if you get some more ,you would be amazed at how many wannabees will buy scuffed leathers
  4. i went today and its worth going ,a lot more there than last time
  5. i was in rsa last year and its amazing what people will do to avoid hijacking ,there are stories of flame throwers attached under the car. having said that i have been told that not many people have insurance in south africa so the price cannot be too high or you just wouldnt bother, also car prices to buy were extremely high.
  6. you have to shop around every year now ,there is no such thing as loyalty discounts ,good deal first year stung the next. i thought everyone was used to this by now , the only problem with this is having to post your no claims discount proof to your new company every year.
  7. coop were pretty good ,but i have now put my lad on the twin cab insurance as commersial policies for young drivers is cheaper. on a 1.2 punto £1700 on a 2.5 warrior £900.how can that be right . got the policy through aviva and he is over the moon at driving a truck
  8. what front door there is only one door on a caravan
  9. not the way to treat your quarry ,he was too interested in his vid ,total pilchard
  10. i wouldnt worry too much about keeping it a secret you really dont have anything to hide ,you arent breaking any laws and you can bet your bottom dollar if you have neihbours in close proximaty they also have a rat problem ,i would keep quiet about the fishing bait though as some one will blame you for bringing them in, good luck
  11. i did this recently through trulock and harris and it went really well it cost 25 quid at trulocks and 25 for the rfd the other end but if you are buying from a dealer i would have thought you would escape the cost that end
  12. my last bike was a tl1000r as well i had it for 4 days before i wrote it off, used to use on on the track as well they earned their name, the widowmaker

  17. both worcester bosch and vaillant boilers are very good boilers but the design of the vaillant hx is lots of small bore pipes and they are very prone to blockages ,also we had a lot of them leak between the pump and hydrolic body caused by a dirty system.the worcester hx design is different and not so prone to blockage but having said that neither system will work well with magnetite in them. get the system clean or keep repairing your boiler its your choice buddy , my only recommendation would be not to use your mate ,600 for a pump replace is a bit much
  18. i genuinely hope you are right and the taliban refuse to let groups like al quaida back in again ,time will tell
  19. i get the horrible feeling that within a year it will be as if our brave lads never went in at all ,a complete return to how it was with the taliban re educating the afgan in to how bad things have been for them for the last 10 years under our rule .

    Crow Pie

doesnt sound very appetizing does it, but we seem to have an awful lot of them round this way
  21. i would be a bit carefull on believing that we will get the whole story from south africa as well, i was there just after the miner massacre last year and was appalled at how much of the story never made it to us. i dont know whether it was the sa powers that be or the british media and sensensationalism

    Taps

you seem to have forgotten that we live in a throw away society that means its more often cheaper to replace than repair ,sad but there it is. by the time your plumber has chased around for two hours looking for the correct drives with the correct splines to fit the heads and then done the job it works out cheaper to change them for another set of imported carp that wont last either. good quality english made taps are no longer availible at any cost
