  1. That’s not great mpg, I have to say my l200 I get 32.5 plus usually so in real life the better economy in my other halfs outlander doesn’t make that much difference. at a guess you are looking at towing 1200kgs max so most smaller 4x4’s will in theory do it. However I wouldn’t want to with the likes of a rav 4 etc so your choices aren’t that wise to get good economy and tow occasionally. Much as I think they have their issues my outlaws freelander would do it ok and economy generally would be 37-40ish on decent runs.
  2. Realistically most of the mid range 4x4’s will tow that. Looking at economy is fine but it depends what your hi lux is actually doing mpg wise. Most that are capable of pulling a trailer are only going to do 40ish mpg at best. Our outlander promises 50 plus mpg but is realistically 40 and that is one of the better ones. If you get over 30mpg then factoring in the Cost of buying a different vehicle you may not save much if at all.
  3. £240 here with a l200 but that’s commercial rate
  4. The basc deal is ok but still dependant on how popular the model is and how much the car company want to sell them.
  5. The springs do seem to be a problem, Milner’s have already brought out upgraded springs and shocks to stop the sagging
  6. I’ve had a few l200’s now the latest an 09 plate. No issue with the plastics not being durable it all seems fine. Seats have stood up well and i’ve Had it 4 years and done nearly 60k in it. Only things changed have been rear springs at 60k so it’s been a cheap motor. a mate has a new shaped barbarian auto and that is doing 35 plus mpg and been faultless so far. Navara if you are going to own it the only real problem is depreciation due to the ongoing chassis problems. It does mean they’ve are cheap if you buy 2nd hand but hard to sell and likely to get worse as the problem gets more publicised.
  7. Lol that doesn’t surprise me, the thing with these is you buy them once and they don’t tend to break. The other side is you change the batteries once a year or so and that is so much better than digital
  8. If you are on fb then get it on the lamping foxes page, it should sell easily at that price
  9. The dots don’t seem to be an issue what you need to look for is shadowing as that’s a sign of problems. This looks fine and is a bargain price. The big plus with these over digital is that they are relatively easy to get repaired if you have a problem. I bought one with shadowing that got worse fairly fast but had a new tube fitted and it has been fine for the last 8 years or so. Most of the issues people get are down to not setting up properly but use a nm800 as illuminator and they are great
  10. If you use a spot on consistently on all animals in the house then you will break the flea lifestyle as long as it works..... i currently use a spot on bought online from VetUK.co.uk it’s their own brand and cheap and seems to work.
  11. £21 a month with unlimited minutes and texts and 5gb data on Vodafone makes it cheap. They also suggested it would be paid off handset wise in just over 6 months which was the first time they have mentioned that before to me
  12. Seconded I really like mine, perfect size and pretty capable. Add to that pretty cheap now as people just assume it’s the same as a 5
  13. Look at this from another angle, he is older generation, you checked his ticket when you sold the gun so know at that point he had one. Many shops over the years wouldn’t check upon return so I am guessing he will be used to this and was as upset at his own failing as anything and you bore the brunt verbally. I would take it on the chin as one of those things, treat it as one of those things and some people do go through life like this. The other side of things is you never know quite who you are falling out with and how it will affect business, shooters have a habit of knowing lots of other shooters and will definitely voice their opinion whether right or not if they think they have been wronged
  14. Exactly the systems are fine on most pickups for use in slippery conditions but not made for normal tarmac. It’s the big plus for the l200 no worry of diff windup. You are fine to use at normal speeds
  15. It depends where you are, our local has enough antis show that Boxing Day they just meet and take photos with the public and leave the hunting to less high profile day. the funny thing being the antis keep thinking that they stopped them hunting each time
  16. Well done nice to see him out and starting. Please though tell me it wasn’t Sunday when the last pheasant was shot......
  17. If you can justify the bfg’s then they are great. I’ve had them and a few sets of generals at and at2 both fine but not quite up to the bfg either on or off road

    Dogs Grrrr.

Not food related but I had a jack Russell that used to if allowed crawl up and get under the covers while we were asleep. That was fine till one night we heard screams from next door. The little ****** had run of the garden via the cat flap and had dug under and through the neighbours cat flap and got into bed with them. Laugh I could have cried when shortly after they were hammering on the door to hand the dog back and moan about paw prints on thei white duvet....
  19. If you go on the traffic England website you can view the motorway cameras all over the uk. That’s brilliant for spotting where has snow and it’s progress across the uk
  20. Simply sit back and give your insurers as much as you have. It helps if you were stationary at the time of impact. The downside is the scroat may well get 50:50 as it’s a country lane and proving anything else may well cost your insurer more than they want to pay. At that point you just have to stay calm...
  21. Get the fuel filter changed first and see how you go
  22. Can you run the isuzu’s On road in 4x4 as that is one big plus for the l200 in the current weather
  23. Comes down to cost, odds are you will pick up a series 5 l200 far cheaper.
  24. Till the vehicles are 12 years old then they are telling owners to stick it.
  25. We’ve had one for 6 months or so. It’s the diesel not phev and seems a pretty reasonable car. Feels solid and just does what it’s meant to, economy isn’t quite the promised figures but between 35 and 40mpg but plenty of poke. 7 seats come in handy at times and the rest of the time the boot is adequate for pushchairs and dogs.
