  1. Ahh we are in a similar boat but fortunately the leak wasn’t under our tiles.  I’ve uncovered all the pipe in our living room screed so have the channels to fill In once the plumber has replaced the pipe.  The damp proof is interesting as it’s a 17th century house and they have laid a tar layer but it’s that good we never found our leak as the water was going downwards as fast as you filled In the system.  I’m debating whether to screed the pipes or use self levelling so any advice would be great

just watched the funeral.....no faff....nicely done.......

    on a sub note...........

i wonder if prince harry is beginning to realise what family and history and tradition he has thrown down the toilet....just for a bit of tinsle town titty....

Once she stops being quite so obliging in the bedroom I reckon he will have a day of reckoning and realise what he has thrown away.
The moment she stopped him shooting you knew she would be trouble

  3. Possibly try the local mailboxes branch they may do it cheaper.  The problem is auction items are unpacked so by the time you collect pack them and send by courier the costs all mount up.  It’s what we do and if it was one of my regulars I’d see what I could do.

The best option is to look for a set more local to you but the internet has made it too easy to spot bargains the other end of the country lol

I get it all the time.... but the wardrobe I bought from 200 miles away didn’t cost as much as you want to deliver!

  4. We have a tuning company across the road from us at work and they seem to be getting stacks in at the moment along with range rovers as being the local footballers cars of choice.

From what I have seen the most basic would probably be ok for countryside use but otherwise the bling factor is unlikely to be that compatible with mud and hedges

  5. The main question is why does he want them? I like the look of them and there are a few small herds I know of as the local nature reserves like them for putting out on rough land but there are easier breeds of you are down south

We have a few Southdown crosses and they are reasonably easy to keep and seem to produce nice lamb.

  6. To be slightly controversial I’m struggling to see how a scotty was that intimidating to you.  It’s got little dog syndrome and had you stood your ground and said hello to it odds are things would have changed quickly for the better.
Weirdly my two just stand and look at little dogs with attitude and are far better than with little ones that run scared.  We may be a different area but I usually find a quick chat with the owner lets the dogs get used to each other and it doesn’t happen the next time you meet them

If I choose not to have the vaccine and all those that do want / need it have had it, who are the 'others' that I am putting at risk?

Ultimately everyone,  and that is because the more of you there are the more likely we will keep living with an underlying level of covid which increases the odds of a mutation occurring that will evade the vaccine

Had three of them. Fairly good on body rot chassis transmission , but the weak point on these trucks is the front pulley area of the engine. Key way can wear. and the front pulley can fail throwing belts and doing damage. About 25MPG not a lot more a typical Japanese pick up truck. they are a little agricultural to drive in my opinion.

You need to try a new one the series 5 is not that agricultural and the mpg is mid 30’s

All down to what it has done prior to you buying it.   Basically a solid pick up but with all modern vehicles you might come acros electrical/computer problems occasionally.

Actually being on my 5th l200 I can say electrics don’t seem to be a problem at all on them.

At that age do buy on condition and history, loads have been used as cars. The things to watch are generally head gasket and the usual suspension and springs.  The latter are easy and cheap enough if you are half handy with a spanner.

  10. I’ve recently had a set of toyo open country at put on my l200 and I’m pretty impressed.  Seem good off road but on they are no noisier than the bridgestones that came off and fuel economy hasn’t dropped at all.  The best bit being they are pretty cheap.
I had them put on as it’s a lease vehicle that goes back in December so  wasn’t worth spending the money on General or BFG and actually having had both I’d choose these next time

  11. Buy with care would be my advice. At that age tin worm will be trying to get most so buy on condition.  Whatever you get will be fairly elderly,  Navaras of that age are a minefield,  l200’s are better but you still have to watch for engine issues.  Hilux if it’s in good nick will be a fair amount of money as the top gear reputation has everyone thinking they go on forever
