  1. I had to laugh at this ( David Cameron has criticised "state multiculturalism" in his first speech as prime minister on radicalisation and the causes of terrorism ) I seems to me that if you wont people to integrate the last thing that you would do is encourage religious groups etc to set up there one free schools and pay them to do it as is his policy. Just look at northern Ireland to see what catholic and protestant schools have done to encourage integration. (my attempt to get the title in bold did not work still worth a try )
  2. To be perfectly honest about it the best bog standard of the peg off road truck is the Mercedes G wagon comes with lockers front and rear and it is over engineered as only the Germans do things. I did see a while ago that a lot of army's across the world are changing there old Land Rovers for G wagons I must add though they do look ugly things having said that I still prefer my Jeep.
  3. Hi it works out about 18 mpg for petrol and the same for gas that's 36 mpg in money terms when running on gas and I have not had any problems with it. I think yours is the V6 not the strait 6 that they use in the 4ltr I have herd that the 4ltr works better with lpg but there is no reason why it should not work fine with yours. LPG is good if you do mostly long trips ie over 5 miles I find that in the cold as it starts on petrol and then changes over to gas after about half a mile so if you use it to pop to the shops or collect the kids from school its not worth the bother its ok in the summer when its hot as it switches over as soon as it has started the engine. its really good on long runs as long as you do not go to fast if you go fast it soon burns up the gas.
  4. You must be joking I'v got a proper off roader the original and best 4ltr jeep with a lift and some good mud tyres it will beat a landrover any day and it will not brake down all of the time.
  5. I was given a Toshiba satelite a while ago it had a virus on it the guy who gave it to me did not have the recovery disk for it but the spec looked to be much the same as my Toshiba equium and it worked or so I thought it formatted the hard drive and recovered the programs it load windows but would not let you use it very frustrating so I tried to get a new recovery disk from Toshiba but was told that it was to old at just four years old a perfectly good computer I gave up and bind it.
  6. I would put your LandRover In your garage to play with when you get back and invest in a good Toyota Land Cruiser that way you can go without worrying if or when it will brake down. also I would have thought spar parts would be much easer to find as they seem to prefer the Land Cruiser to most other trucks in that part of the world.
  7. You do surprise me I have had my jeep for about five years and the only trouble that I have had is two or three times it would not run on LPG but this was sorted by disconnecting the battery to reset the computer. Having said that my Jeep has a big lazey 4ltr straight six engine that you do not have to push much as you would with say a 2ltr car/van.
  8. I will not go on about young people steeling cars and ending up dead my point is if you ever crash your car never ever go in to a tree if you hit another car it will smash if you hit a stone wall it will fall down even a lamp post will bend or fall down but if you hit a mature tree it will not bend it will not brake your car will just collapse around it leaving you if you are lucky dead. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1351921/Joyrider-16-friends-killed-horror-crash-tore-car-two.html
  9. My X reg 4 ltr jeep cherokee running on LPG cost me £190 to tax for 12 months last year. I do not have any wish to go to London but if for some strange reason you do wish to go there you do not have to pay the congestion charge or so I have been told.
  10. I have nothing against cats I just cannot see the point in them as someone once said they are a waist of good fur
  11. I was looking for something to watch the other day BBC news was all about soaps so called cilebs etc so I thought that I would try some other news channel and I ended up looking at Russia Today or RT News and I was quite surprised how good it was and not as bias as you would think.
  12. I think this bit sums up the mentality of this guy ( Clarke, 22, a father-of-four ) and its probably four different girls who had the kids and he probably dose not live with or support any of them.
  13. I'm with you on this one I'm FAT not ( OBESE ) where the hell did that word come from I think it's the politically correct people again frightened that if they say someone is fat they will clam that you are being abusive not just honest. it's the same with coloured people ie Indians etc we have to call them BLACK when most of them are not black at all just light brown. Forgot to add I gave up the fags about five years ago I was a bit Rotund before giving up but could not keep away from sweets and food and ended up putting on a stone .
  14. The safest way if you can afford it would be to get a digger in and put in an underground tank with a good secure lid and lock with luck if they cannot see it they will not find it to steel the Oil just a thought.
  15. When I said that I have been bitten by my Jack Russell type Dogs that has happened mostly while playing with them. I did not mean them being aggressive towards me having said that Russells are working dogs they have to have some aggression in them to kill rats etc. a mamby pamby Labrador type dog would be of no use at all a big dog with that kind of aggression would be a nightmare. from what you say I do not think that any Jack Russells would much wont to live in your house.
  16. I must say I agree with you on this I'm afraid I just do not get this thing that some people have about big dogs ie my dog is bigger than yours. I have had dogs all my life mostly Jack Russell size dogs and have been bitten loads of times but what the hell I may get a few scratches but no real harm if your big dog has a bad day you have got a problem or some innocent bystander or there dog or cat has to suffer.
  17. I had a warning thing appear on my dash display on my Jeep today it has not been on before so I did not know what it was for so when I stopped I looked in the glove compartment for the hand book only to discover that it was soaking wet my first thought was that the windscreen was letting water in only then did I notice that one of the two mini cans of coke that I keep in there should I get a tickle in my throat when I am out had frozen and burst letting its contents go all over everything so I just thought I would worn others of the dangers of keeping cold drinks in the car. (it turned out the warning light was only for washer liquid bottle needed filling up )
  18. Having nothing to do I did actually see the debate on TV and I was quite surprised how much support there was for shooting even Keith Vazz who everyone thought was dead against shooting said that he has changed his mind after going to Bizley and was quite positive. There was only one person who was ban everything and as expected it was a Labour chap but even he said that he was out of step with the majority of people. The only one that annoyed me was the Conservative Minister/spokesman most of what he said was positive but when asked about the handgun ban for Olympic shooters said that it was up to I think he said sport England and they are so against shooting there is not much chance of getting anywhere.
  19. As has been said I cannot see why anyone would want to buy Royal Mail as a postal delivery service whether it is badly run or not I can see no future for it as most of the mail that I get is junk mail that I do not want. In the near future everything will be delivered electronically the odd letter/document that has to be sent in paper for could be delivered by parcel delivery at much more cost or you could be sent an email telling you that you have a letter waiting at your nearest post office to be collected.
  20. It seems to me that everyone has given up on this country all of the people with money sold up a long time ago and invested in China and India lots of money to be made there cheep laber. as for Europe and us we are no longer necessary we will end up a third world country the people with power and money always win and they do not give a **** about us the workers we are expendable.
  21. I do not get your comment at all the guy asked a simple question ????????
  22. I have a 2001 cherokee XJ 4ltr converted to run on LPG I get 18 mpg on petrol and the same on gas at half the price so why have a rattly old diesel with some good AT tyres its as good as any Landrover on or off road and my road tax it only £180 p/y and they are cheep to buy and just do not go wrong I would not swap the one I have for anything.
  23. You lot have all gone mamby pamby a proper MANS SHED is a wondurus place with lots of tools and bits of wood and nails and screws a place to make things and mend things ok have a nice old rocking chair a radio and a few cans of bear a little heater for the cold weather and there you have it heaven. if you wont leather seats and a bar that is not a shed its a summer house for wimps just stay in the bloody house and stop pretending that you are a real man.
  24. I for one do not care what language they care to use as I will not be bothering with it at all as this country will not allow us to pursue the only sport that interest me and that is pistol shooting as fare as I am concerned young master co and his chums can stuff it up there xxxx
