  1. Sharpen you chainsaw, knives. Make little surprises for when he wakes up, how old is he? I used to move my girls or stepsons toys around just a little so they thought they’d come to life during the night. get into a new tv series, or check out documentaryheaven.com write a book? try and sleep longer? as above, sorry it didn’t work out for whatever reason, I know from having a stepson how it can affect kids.
  2. That’s absolutely fair enough, just seemed you were willing to class a country as bad due to their dietary choices.
  3. Why is eating dogs bad? is it just the list of things we eat in this country that are ok? are french foods like snail, frogs legs and horse ok? what about whales? or is it just things you consider pets, so Chileans eating guinea pigs would be bad? where is the line drawn? Baby animals? Lamb, veal, suckler pig?
  4. Nice. I’ve tapped silver birch before and made syrup, tasty enough.
  5. People didnt obey the rules last summer and if they’re still in place they won’t this summer. People we’re allowed to travel to buy pets, so a surprising amount of people from London found pets to buy in South Wales. The only trouble is for the hospitality business owners, they cat ignore the rules as the fines would be crippling.
  6. You have a sugar maple tree!? Or did you tap a field maple?
  7. Shame, greenfinches have a special place in my heart after I had two as pets as a kid
  8. Yea, it’s her not getting many words in that makes me want to give her a ‘cuddle’
  9. Does seem like a whole load of rubbish posted in that group. I’ll still put it down though in the vain hope it could work!
  10. Thanks, but none of those are .22 are they? Interesting, not quite what I’m after though cheers
  11. I started a thread about vegans being afforded the same legal rights as religions, where have I said i worried about anything? Where have I mentioned not letting them live how they choose to?
  12. At what point have I worried about what they think? At what point have I not let them live how they choose to?
  13. Yea furlough had to happen, but the whole deal was you could put mortgage and other big loans on hold, or so I was under impression. So groceries and bills. Not £2500 a month. And if they were, then people should have cut back and gone without.
  14. I can’t seem to find any co2 air pistols in .22 flavour any more. i used to have a great revolver air pistol that got nicked years back, wanting another now.
  15. Yep, also agree and said all along with the whole clapping thing and thank you nhs signs. People should always have been grateful for the nhs, before covid. Look at America, I’d hate that system. However, when was the last time nhs below doctors had an appropriate pay rise? And where would we prefer the money went, councillors, mp’s, that ‘press briefing room’ mentioned above? They paid far too much in furlough. £2500 some people getting!? Who tf needs £2500 a month to sit at home, unbelievable.
  16. Don’t worry, I don’t devote a lot of time, energy or thought into it. But it would be very interesting, science proves plants feel, vegans all starve to death...?
  17. I love the research into plants. They have been shown to have all sorts of senses and I’d love them to prove more about what plants can feel. I wonder what vegans would eat then...
  18. He didn’t say he wound him up, but out the wind up him. im guessing he mightn’t even have known he was there but got home and walked in like he always would.
  19. When you talk to the flo and ask, maybe give all the options you have so they can pick their favourite. One could be a cabinet in the brick shed that holds the action, but the barrels and foreend in a locked cupboard inside or something..?
  20. I just found this website called documentaryheaven.com where it seems you can search and watch documentaries for free! Ive watches a couple already so it seems to work, don’t need to enter any details or anything so it doesn’t harvest data etc. Hope some others can get some interesting viewing too, all the best pete
  21. When I saw that, I thought of the number of people on here who make knives, and stacked leather handles. Always interesting to see what others make out of things we consider offcuts, castoffs and waste.
  22. Not only would it be nice to help Australia, it would be a nice two fingers to the EU. Australia can have my dose, as I need to wait for a method that does t involve needles!
  23. There’s another thread on here about football clubs who changed their badges for a day to try and help highlight the loss of animals like these, and it’s mostly full of negative comments.... I don’t get it. Also, whilst I hate the thought of any of these animals going extinct, who are we (Britain) to get on our high horse and tell others what to do when we’ve already deforested most of our country and continue to do so. And have already made extinct many species on our own shores, and continue to do so. I struggle with the hypocrisy of it all really.
  24. I have nothing against them per say, if they make that decision and just get on with it by themselves. My wife went vegetarian before we got a smallholding, to see if she could do it in case she couldn’t bring herself to eat animals we’d raised. Then she went vegan, then back to vegetarian. Now we have a smallholding, she will eat meat we’ve raised, but not bought meat, as she knows our welfare standards are way higher than most places. But it’s the ones who feel everyone has to do what they do. There’s one who puts videos on Facebook, he went on the high street with a big tv and was showing slaughterhouse videos. Imagine walking up there with your 4 year old and they see animals getting their throats cut. Unbelievable.
  25. Apparently they now have the same legal protection as religions, as they don’t impinge on the rights of others! If it wasn’t so scary it would be funny. https://edition.cnn.com/2020/01/03/uk/vegan-discrimination-intl-scli-gbr/index.html?fbclid=IwAR3omPqC7xKpn3og9iS3bgQuhZ4MOBji0AG_WCdBZpyGGs8EW7yV0KgOIsw#:~:text=Vegans deserve same legal protection as religious people%2C UK judge rules&text=Jordi Casamitjana's two-day case, belief protected under UK law
