Hi there is this still for sale. Asking for a friend who lives miles away. I travel down to the West Midlands on a Thursday and I could pick it up for him?
-
I am going down that road with lab dog. He is 4 years old end July. Health tests coming up. my preference too wait till now. He has 2 good seasons under his belt as young dog. Its like getting your first pup. Take your time and let the dog grow. Each to there own though.

new pots boiled and tossed in butter and fresh mint......................with grilled lamb chops maybe...and some green stuff
dont bother with jersey royals now as they are tasteless..............i believe the reason is the authorites have stopped the gathering of kelp and seaweed to use as fertilizer...........
can anyone confirm this ??
Agree. Jersey Royals used too taste so dam good. Start of the potato season. Grown a few of new varieties but my bench mark Pentland Javelin for first earlies.

BUT I see them wobbling down the High Street covered in expensive tattoos and hanging out around the bookies, come off it. You just cut your cloth.
Agree.

Two separate points.
Yes Harrington’s is great and mine are put on this irrespective of what the breeder used but mix it in slowly with current food.
Training to the gun is an emotive point. Mine do not hear gunshot proper until around 12 months old and the ears are fully developed. This is later than most but I take a cautious approach to this as I have a pack of dogs and plenty of time. I never start with blanks or dummy launcher as they produce a crack that some dogs do not like. Always a shotgun at distance and reduce if no adverse reaction. Usually starting in the car park of a clay ground just feeding treats on the tailgate and work in from there.
Nor do i use starter pistol and dummy launcher early on. I don’t want the association of shot with retrieve as I want rock steady dogs.
Just take your time it’s not a race.
Good luck
Excellent advice.
