  1. Sorry, haven't filled in the profile bit but the location is N.Wales. I was thinking catridges but it's always been OK with allsorts including subsonics. But on Sunday I was trying to put some Hull Chevrons down it and a mate who regularly shoots them says they're "nice and soft". Maybe it needs something like Express World Cup down it to loosen it a bit (and my brain and teeth) Bettinsoli used to have a website but it seems to have gone. By the way there's nowt wrong with Beretta or their owners and when the betty dies it'll hopefully get replaced with a White Onyx sporter - nice.
  2. Firstly, it's nice to find a UK forum for shooting which has some activity on it. I'll be honest I'm a clay shooter but hopefully someone on here will be able to help me. I've a Bettinsoli which is around 15 years old. For years it's worked fantastically, then over that last two years I was getting serious problems with the firing pins. I finally figured that out and bought some titanium pins from Swiftpins.com - very reasonable. So there I am expecting a trouble free 2006 and on the first shoot I go to the bloody thing refuses to trip the second barrel. I pull the trigger and the bottom barrel goes off, I pull it again and it is stuck. I reload and change the barrel selector. I pull the trigger and the top barrel goes off and then it gets stuck again. So both barrels are working but the gun won't move on to the second barrel. Now i think that I messed something up the last time I opened the action to fit firing pins. Because on that day I also decided to give the action a good clean, but it has had 3 shoots since then and been ok. Now I've checked it is not jammed with crud and looks ok but I really have no idea what I should be looking for. Does anyone know where I could obtain diagrams of gun actions (esp. Bettinsoli) and what exactly everything does? There used to be a good gunshop where I live but now that's closed and the last gunsmith i went to charged a fortune for two firing pins which lasted a shoot each. The gun is getting on a bit and I'm not really afraid of breaking it to figure out what everything does, but I'd like some guidance before I go ripping it to pieces - just in case I need help to put it back together!! Thanks.
