hi guys does anyone know if you can purchase a mako stock for the savage .17 hmr? i understand these were a limeted edition but was wondering if anyone knows if boyds gun stocks do them or anyone else? please please help..ive just gotta have one..i love the fact that its totaly different from the norm and thats what i love...comments would be great if you can help...many thanks

hi they were remmington gold heads he was trying...just had a .17hmr put on my ticket and after hearing that kinda sound was a bit put off to be honest....and every rabbit insight soon decided to do one... :unsure:

hi all just been out in the field with a mate zeroing his .22 and tried out a few high velocity rounds...just wondering if the loud crack is like the sound of a .17 hmr or is the .17 hmr louder? many thanks

hi guys does any1 know if you can get a factory thumbhole stock for a ruger 77/17 hmr? have seen a few on google images but could not find anything else..its for the stailess laminate version..thanks

never tried snap caps as never got around to getting some...i know i should do so maybe thats the next step...thnx

i did not know they stopped doing them as ive only just bought 500 which the gun shop odered in for me..as you say my gun just does not throw them clear so may just have to change to something else..many thanks

yeah defo a problem with something not working as it should..cartridges do feel tight to put in the gun and after the shot they exspand and are realy tight..think i may have to make a few phone calls and see what happens...i always clean my barrels after every use so this should not be a problem..gunsmith assured me this was common on 28 gauge shotguns as the springs on ejectors were small because of gauge size and were too weak to eject empty case and will be worsened due to exspansion after fireing was reluctant to do anything and said getting better springs would be near impossible.

after i have fired a shot and open the gun it always tries to eject but when pulling out empty shell it feels realy tight...im sure it should not be like that

i dont bother with the 12 anymore..28gauge so much lighter and more of a joy to use...patterns so much better therefore hits harder in my opinion

it does eject sometimes..if both barrels are fired then no..sometimes come out partly after fiered and cases have not ejected fully they feel tight.

THNX FOR THE REPLYS...i dont think its is timeing issues on the ejectors...ive had that on another berreta ive owned and it was clear to see..but mine does not seem to eject early and does not hit the action..i was was wondering if it was just my choice of cartridge

HI GUYS....my silver pig 5 28gauge has ejecter trouble.sometimes will eject but most of the time does not...had a word with my local gunsmith about the problem and he seems to think all 28 gauge shotguns have this problem due to exspansion of cartridge in the small tubes.also said felt and plastic wad will make a differance...im not that bothered about ejection issues just wondering if he is fobbing me off.on the plus side"WHAT AN AMAAAAAAAZIIIIIIIING LITTLE GUN..far better than any 12 gauge ive owned..and lets just say ive had many a berreta and spent thousands..i do a hell of alot of pigeon shooting and this gun just holds its own everytime i go out and leaves me smiling from ear to ear..ive been using eley v.i.p game 7 and 6s in 24 gram...no pigeon or rook ever fails to drop...ejectors work both do and springs are fine..WHAT ARE ALL YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS PROBLEM AND ARE YOU TOO A KEEN LOVER OF THE 28 GAUGE?MANY THANKS

very nice looking rifles...how long have you had the savage .17 hmr and have you had any problems with the gun and grouping? also choice of scope....sorry for all questions but just about to buy mine so on a mission for information..THANKYOU
