  1. ill see if i can get hold of some after i have used what i got left
  2. They are all about 0.008 on one side and 0.013 on the other. Think its time to ditch these few as its only a few that this is a problem on.
  3. im using rem brass with 50gr v max in stey mannlicher pro hunter. how much would it cost for the equipment for neck turning?
  4. I am reloading for my 222 and have an accurate load but now just trying a different head to see what the differences are. While preparing the cases though i noticed that the neck wall thickness varied considerably. Some cases were half the thickness on one side compared to the other. Is it worth turning the necks or just discarding the cases?
  5. i found warnes good also. optilocks should just be binned as i think they are a poor design. mine came loose after a few shots and decided to get rid of them. they would be beter if the ring cud be seated into a recess of the base rather guessing that they are properly aligned
  6. i have one and its the best 22lr i have had. i could not part with it. i think there are only 5 and 9 shot mags available. the one i bought came with original box and original open sights
  7. i was thinking the same about the heat but think ill just stick with the 3 shot group then
  8. i have one on my 243 and find it better than the t4 i had before and just as good as the p8. but its not strippable which is a shame. but its very compact and noise reduction is fine. its a good bit of a kit
  9. i was just wondering how many shots are used to test their rifles grouping? i normally do 3 shots but now considering going to 2 shots instead.
  10. im planning on 2.210 oal as its max oal for the cal and plus the die seats the 100s where i want them when set like this. so start around 39gr?
  11. deer are going to be shot at shorter ranges anyway so as long as the accuracy is somewhat decent then ill be happy. as long as the 87s group under an inch then thats what i want and a half decent velocity as for the deer legal bit i would rather be safe than sorry. knowing my luck i would be the one to get pulled up on it
  12. i have just got hold of some 87gr vmax and some 100gr sp and some h414 so hopefully will be able to get some good results. will keep you updated when i get a chance to go out
  13. to be honest i dont know what was going on with the 70s. as for h414 when i asked for it in my local gunshop they didnt stock any. i want a bt for fox as i dont like using sp on them so maybe a switch to 87gr is a good option and get some 100gr sp too and make up a few loads of each
  14. i found some with both federal 70gr bt and 80gr soft point. it took me ages with my 222 to get it right and never did with my 204
  15. according to quickload the only powders that will give me over 3200fps with the 70s is blc2 and rl17 without pressure going too high. as for bullets its depends on what i can get feo told me when i applied for the 243 he was willing to grant open on it but i wanted anything bigger it would be on a closed condition and for deer only.
