  1. Fisherman Mike That would make sense, I bought it off a keen pigeon shooter. Gemini, yes it has chokes. They were full and half, but now they are half and i/c as I use it for game. The story of the gun is a happy one. I was new to shotguns and was researching when I came across the brand AYA. I posted on the Shooting Times website and asked if anyone knew if the no.4 was any good. A chap from Leicester way posted back saying they were excellent and that he had one I could buy cheaply as he was emigrating to France. He wanted £250 for the gun and all his kit, so I was expecting very little. I turned up at his house and he presented me with an immaculate AYA no.4 with intact blacking and perfect wood. The wood even has nice figuring. He also threw in gun slip, game bag, cleaning kit, cartridge belt, 200 or so cartridges. All for £250.00. I think he just wanted to know the gun was going to a good home, and indeed it has. I love it. It shoots superbly, feels like its good quality and is light. The ONLY small problem I have had has been transition from a longer gun. This gun flips a little as its so short, so I have to aim low. However when I remember that, I seem to shoot it OK. Manks
  2. Hello All. I have an AYA No.4 dating from the 60s I think. Its immaculate and I paid not a lot for it. I always assumed it to be a 28" gun as most of them are, bit I measured it today.... its a 26. Does anyone know if 26" barrels on a no.4 were ever standard? Regards Manks
