Just for info. which might help in your search, this rifle was also sold as the Remington Model 5. These were made in Serbia by Zastava and the CZ in this case stands for Crvena Zastava. The better known CZ models were made in the Czech Republic and in that case the CZ stands for Czeska Zbrojovka. Brno Model 5? In the eyes of the CZ/Brno enthusiasts these were superior to the the later CZ 452s and they are pretty bloody good!! A great buy for somebody!!

Got a very nice old Remington pump action in 22lr if thats a useful alternative.

Club member looking for a 452 or 455 Varmint (heavy barrel) in 22LR Must be RH with 20"+ barrel length (not bothered whether barrel is screwcut or not.) Also standard (ambi.) Not an underlever but.................... 1951 Remington 121 pump-action in 22LR, accurate and reliable, screwcut 1/2" UNF and has dovetails for scope mounting. An old rifle but truly a classic in great condition which holds 14 rounds (22LR) in the tube mag. Vintage "Marbles" 2-6x32 scope (1960s Japan made) which itself is collectable but also very usable. Well, a bit of a late Xmas prezzie, I've just got several more sets of these Weaver Grand Slam steel rings and bases to fit Remington 700 models. 1" rings, steel, matte black, it says to fit scopes up to 50mm objective. The rear ring is "windage adjustable!" New, unused, still in original bubble pack, contains 2 X bases, 2 X rings, key, all screws and fitting instructions. I'm not too familiar with the fitting and use of these type of bases and rings, so please read the info. in the photos before ordering. Retail can be £40+...............Packaging says they also fit Wetherby Vanguard rifles and I've been told also the Howa 1500, but you would have to check. £20.00 posted! Yes, I agree with what has been said! I have a 17HMR for shooting overland and on application I put in for a sound moderator for it.................you REALLY could do with one! LOL. A good justification for the 17HMR is the fact that it's a more frangible round and therefore reduces ricochets. Good luck, I cant see any problems! Peter.

I have for sale a Simmons 44 MAG 6.5 - 20 X 44 AO Scope, c/w original lens covers. Used, but in nice condition. Light use only on a 22LR rifle on the target range. This is one of the preferred Philippines made scopes with 1" tube, "Truplex" reticle and adjustable objective. (30ft - infinity.) Where are you Chris? I have a 1951 Remington 121 pump action rimfire which I might consider selling to part fund another rifle. Nice condition for it's age, accurate and reliable. Tube mag. Iron sights, but has been dovetailed at some time so I have a small scope (1960s "Marbles" 2-6x32 which itself is rare, collectable and in great condition) on it at the moment. Shoots S, L & LR rounds.(I've shot a few "shorts" but usually stick with 22LR.) It has original barrel but has been screwcut. £195.00 Rifle only or £250.00 with scope. F2F only and subject to FAC slot of course. No pressure, I'm in no hurry to sell.
