  1. I bought a brno which was a pre CZ 452 boyds laminate stock and bipod and N550 I can hit rabbits from prone at 90-100 yards all day long (that is if they hadn't all drowned and there aren't any)
  2. its also market forces there are probably 50 ? 100 ? shotguns in the uk per rifle so the tooling up to make a rifle is consequently far more expensive
  3. Can't pm from phone but interested
  4. just bought a remington 1100 for £100 great fun and i dont care if i drop it in the dirt
  5. I use an N550 and when i switch it on with an external power source it wont come on sometimes i have to try it 20 or 30 times once on it is no problem at all any ideas ?
  6. Hi All, bit of an odd one here I've been asked to sort some rabbits on a 17 acre plot they have an "infestation" I've been twice at night and seen about 12 rabbits combining the visits they are telling me that during the day there are "hundreds" what i want to know is if I plot up and there are lots of bunnies how many am I likely to get before the others all sod off ? I'm using a moderated .22lr but this is new territory for me. what ideas do you have ?
  7. the stupid thing for me is that there is land that is "uncleared" that i would be happy to shoot over and land that is "cleared" that i wont shoot over only from one or tow points. The issue is subjective my best advice is every shot you take think about what could go wrong and if there is any doubt dont
  8. Surrey police have been brilliant to me even when they told me off once they were polite, sensible and educated (unlike me) and have always answered my most basic questions without making me feel a fool
  9. slightly off topic just been asked to clear some from a polo field and the local chefs say they taste like poo anyone have any ideas for cooking them ?
  10. I can keep the bunnies and I do have an outlet but I think this thread has re-affirmed my thoughts expenses are enough
  11. someone said to me recently about another very well researched book that "the devil can quote scripture to back his own aims" I have read the cult of Pharmacology and whilst I agrre that certain drugs are foisted on us as the surgery gets better deals than they would normally get, SSRI's have been found to be hugely benificial in many many cases. If you quote research and statistics it is more important to look at tthe funding for that research and the leanings of the person asking the questions JAT
  12. I certainly dont want to charge so I'll just go down the route of expenses thanks for your input chaps Jolly
  13. It sounds to me that you may have been put on the at risk register by your doctor, this happened to me and because of it i was refused life insurance. I went to the docs and asked why it had been done without my knowledge and was told a new doc had done it to "be on the safe side" I then asked if she thought i was at risk and she said not at all so she promptly removed my name from the said list. Also before I applied for SGC and FAC I asked the docs if they had any issues and they said no go ahead. Being on anti-dpressants is no reason to be refused either
  14. I have been asked to thin some rabbits out and the landowners want to pay me. Now normally I just say pay for diesel and the ammo and I'm happy however two things are making me feel different firstly I'm being made redundant so I am seriously skint secondly these peoiple are seriously minted So what is a reasonable ammount to charge them ?
