Is that a bad thing? so far China doesnt seem to be the one threatening half the world, and start wars in all sorts of remote places 'Because God told me too' (as Bush once said). I say go for it China. They work hard, maybe they deserve it.. maybe they will make a safer super power oneday then America. They have a long way to come, but they are certainly improving political wise and economy wise.

A good member of PW who sadly no longer seems to post used AE .223 in his CZ I think it was, and that had top results! he shot more fox, and wild goats with it then anyone here. Some top brands of ammunition shoot groups like a shotgun in my Tikka. HArdly matters what it is, just give it a try. Different guns shoot better or worse with all types of ammunition.

Or otherwise chokes designed for that make/model gun that are clearly stated by the manufacturer. A lot of Skeet shooters etc will use aftermarket chokes to improve performance or looks, which is not a problem if they are designed for that gun.

I recvently posted a barrel, its not problem because it is only a tube. Its only firearm RIFLED barrels that must be handled with FAC and written on all documents whoever is handling it :unsure: (unless you are an RFD but thats another story). You can have as many barrels as you like as long as they are not rifled slug barrels. PM me when you are ready to post it, and I will give you postage details etc EDIT: I had an Escort, no issues with the choke and you really dont have to check it every 10 mins. Infact I never checked it. Just screw it in nice and tight (dont over do it) and it will stay put. make a habbit of checking it with the choke key when cleaning, other then that there should be no issues on a standard Escort.

Probably missing the point here as usual for me.. But wouldnt that mean if you did your MOT a month early every year you would keep gaining a month eg 13months 14months 15months etc? Surely that extra month expires for the next renewal.

If you are worried about break ins and protecting your family, dont buy weapons, upgrade your house security. Buy a steel lined front door, security glass windows on the ground floor, better locks, and a good alarm system. It will save you hassle and £££ of court fees when the burgler sues YOU for damage. If you love your family and fear for their safety, the cost of such security upgrades should not put you off. Its better to prevent criminal access then to stand their with weapons waiting for them to enter the building. Chances are you will end up in a world of hurt legally or physically.

Completley agree with you. If you listen to the recording you will find out how different this case was from a usual case of self defence. He pretty much used the situation as an excuse to take a life. Im am glad such laws do not exist here, imagine the number of mistakes that would be made..

If you post me the barrel I will cut it down for you and re-position the bead FOC (providing postage costs)... It will keep you going on cylinder choke untill you get a new barrel sorted..

Should be fine I am using an AGS SWAT scope which are often used on airguns, it is used without any issues at all out to 300+ meters on a centerfire rifle. The 'twang' spring powered airguns make is often worse for a scope then the recoil small centerfires produce. And will last a liftimes on a PCP or rimfire. If you worry about these things too much, chances are you spend more time cleaning your gun then shooting it too. Thats a nice rifle there, best of luck with the sale

Why aren't you coming? I dont think I can afford the insurance at the moment, and there is a possbility I will be needed for fire service related stuff on that date. Geuss it will have to be next year which sucks as I was looking forward to this, and always enjoy short camping trips too

Nice shot. I only ever take head/neck shots on everything I shoot. When I stalk, I will probably do the same thing. Confidence in your shooting skill is important, as well as having the experiance to back it up. In my case its hours and hours plinking/range work because it really makes a difference.
