  2. Thanks all you need is a paint program and its easy to correct.
  3. Did the chips turn out any better than doing them in the oven?
  4. Good luck mate, hope it gets sorted quickly now, let us all know how it goes. Think your FEO is right, we need to start rattling a few cages, this situation as gone on far to long and seems to-be getting worse in some force areas.
  5. yes...I guess I should not judge a book by its cover, my apologies.
  6. welcome new member Anastasia….https://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/profile/95142-young-anastasia/
  7. Yes it is actually, its got a mate and a nest at the bottom of the garden with eggs in it.
  8. To keep the mods on their toes.
  9. You have hit the nail on the head….they all seem to-be doing their own thing, about time it got sorted.
  10. Agreed, I know people say don't upset the apple cart with regards renewal or grant but in this case I would be banging on someone’s door for some action and answers, think we have taken enough over the last few years, time to start shouting at a few people. Good on you mate, lets hope someone’s cage get rattled, its about time.
  11. McCain oven chips? They are my favourite oven chips
  12. Agreed, the OP should take this advice...https://basc.org.uk/firearms/certificate-renewals/ Must admit this seems to-be getting out of hand, where are your guns being stored and is it costing you anything?
  13. West Mids was very similar, think I got mine about 5 or 6 months after mine had expired, they just issued temporary tickets which did not bother me so long as I was covered.
  14. Chicken is perhaps one of my favourite meats, lamb and mint sauce come a close second, chips look lovely, home made?
  15. Here's our resident robin, think he’s got feather mite.
  16. You wont forget that trip, fantastic scenery, thanks for posting. The picture with the caption “Stopped by a gas station in Louisiana to fuel up and found a mint Ruger number 3 in .223”….only in America as they say.
  17. Yes must admit it was nice and cosy sat on my seat out of the cold wind, think PC suggested using the water butt as a seat but I did not think that was a good idea considering the water had a thin sheet of ice over it and the steel was like the inside of a freezer. When I found that post I could not believe it was February 2018, I was still in my 60s, how time flies.
  18. They could do something non destructive like dropping hundreds of thousands of bacon rashers on them, or flip-flop sandals as it’s an insult being hit by one.
  19. During the winter it keeps the rain and cold wind off your back but also useful during the summer as shade. As to your original question about shooting in the middle of a rape field, its not necessary to have a roof for pigeons but if does give some back cover, I have shot a number of times in the middle of a rape field and the pigeons did not seem to bothered by it.
  20. On that day the wind was bitterly cold but not that strong so I just pushed the brolly spike into the ground and wedged the spines into the sheep fence, if it is blowing a strong wind I do peg it to the ground or fence, at the top of the brolly there's usually a hole where I attach a guide rope.
  21. Not down the bore of your gun I hope.
  22. Have you never heard of oxide paint for protecting steel? same stuff.
  23. I think its bad the way we “the west” lead Ukraine into thinking we would back them all the way with weapons and a hopeful victory, the Russians are making advances because Ukraine is running out of ammunition they also need air defence. After putting up such strong resistance to Russian forces it now seems we have mostly deserted them, at our peril.
