Your be lucky to find a days shooting for 1 gun at the minute, never mind 4 or 5 guns, apart from that, the selling of pigeon shooting days does not stand easy with me.

Well I spoke to my Firearms officer and she has backed me 100% with regards to my email sent to PCC and she stated she wishes everyone does it so this can get sorted as PCC doe not like complaints and they have to act on it, so thankyou Yellow Bear and Old'un
Good luck mate, hope it gets sorted quickly now, let us all know how it goes.
Think your FEO is right, we need to start rattling a few cages, this situation as gone on far to long and seems to-be getting worse in some force areas.

We all know that certain parties do not want us to have guns including the Police. So my thoughts are that the longer they keep us
waiting they hope we will get fed up and give up. But it is strange that some Forces can take a few weeks and others months.
Like i said once before about this problem if they can find the time to issue extensions surely they can find the time to issue
SGC/FAC tickets. I may be missing something. I've been with the MET for quite a few years and had no problems.
You have hit the nail on the head….they all seem to-be doing their own thing, about time it got sorted.

i have never stored my guns during renewal as i was told years ago your certificate has been in on time and going thru the process its not your fault if its run out
Agreed, I know people say don't upset the apple cart with regards renewal or grant but in this case I would be banging on someone’s door for some action and answers, think we have taken enough over the last few years, time to start shouting at a few people.

Good on you mate, lets hope someone’s cage get rattled, its about time.

One for the PCC and MP methinks.
Agreed, the OP should take this advice...https://basc.org.uk/firearms/certificate-renewals/

Must admit this seems to-be getting out of hand, where are your guns being stored and is it costing you anything?

West Mids was very similar, think I got mine about 5 or 6 months after mine had expired, they just issued temporary tickets which did not bother me so long as I was covered.

Chicken is perhaps one of my favourite meats, lamb and mint sauce come a close second, chips look lovely, home made?

Here's our resident robin, think he’s got feather mite.

You wont forget that trip, fantastic scenery, thanks for posting.
The picture with the caption “Stopped by a gas station in Louisiana to fuel up and found a mint Ruger number 3 in .223”….only in America as they say.

I remember when you posted about this outing. At the time I was impressed with your hide.
Yes must admit it was nice and cosy sat on my seat out of the cold wind, think PC suggested using the water butt as a seat but I did not think that was a good idea considering the water had a thin sheet of ice over it and the steel was like the inside of a freezer.
When I found that post I could not believe it was February 2018, I was still in my 60s, how time flies.

Israel have said they will retaliate and hit back at Iran...................i wonder what form this will take...
just a few well placed missiles/bombs
or a bloody good pasting....with several strikes on enrichment plants before the Iranians can produce the goodstuff
i bet the planners are busy as we speak
They could do something non destructive like dropping hundreds of thousands of bacon rashers on them, or flip-flop sandals as it’s an insult being hit by one.

i think i will try one of those thanks bill
During the winter it keeps the rain and cold wind off your back but also useful during the summer as shade.
As to your original question about shooting in the middle of a rape field, its not necessary to have a roof for pigeons but if does give some back cover, I have shot a number of times in the middle of a rape field and the pigeons did not seem to bothered by it.

I would not worry to much, the dog is only 3 months old and will likely grow out of it when there's more interesting things to occupy it.
