Of course we could always go back to growing our own on UK farms and accept that we have to respect the seasons for the produce availability, I know that by suggesting this I'm a heretic, but what the hell, strawberries and the like used to be a treat until we started importing them so we could have them any and everyday, same with new potatoes!!

My relatively recent (last 12 months) experiences of trying to trade a 25" English SxS varied between: Don't bother taking it out of the case, not interested, to a tyre kicking dealer, who tried to find something wrong, before grudgingly offering a few hundred quid, to the the original maker, saying very nice etc. etc. but no market for 25" barrels, but worth modest money if I could sell it privately.

I'm pretty sure brett1985 tried to not that long ago, obviously George isn't suitable in the panels eyes despite all his titles and records

Don't know the answer to this or post #23, and don't fancy ploughing through all the appropriate wildlife welfare related legislation - good one for BASC or the like!

The taking, killing etc game of Sunday's: "3. If any person whatsoever shall kill or take any game, or use any dog, gun, net, or other engine or instrument for the purpose of killing or taking any game, on a Sunday or Christmas Day, such person shall, on conviction thereof before two justices of the peace, forfeit and pay for every such offence such sum of money, not exceeding [ F3 level 1 on the standard scale] , as to the said justices shall seem meet, . . . F4 " No expert, just Googled the Sunday bit!

How old was the L200?
-
I'd start with The Game Act 1831, still stands as far a I can tell in England😀

For Englandshire boys: From various shooting sources ; "As well as adhering to the seasons, game may not be taken on Sundays or Christmas Day." Think the Game Act 1831, still stands and it says: 3. If any person whatsoever shall kill or take any game, or use any dog, gun, net, or other engine or instrument for the purpose of killing or taking any game, on a Sunday or Christmas Day, such person shall, on conviction thereof before two justices of the peace, forfeit and pay for every such offence such sum of money, not exceeding [ F3 level 1 on the standard scale] , as to the said justices shall seem meet, . . . F4

Which ones are those - if you don't mind me asking?

About 50/50 based on those reviews, but not too expensive! Bit surprised no one on here has much to say about them, unless the rest of PW can afford CENs

Cheers lads, all positive so far -
My Deben Slim Electronic Hearing Protectors have done me proud, but are getting a bit old and tired, so am considering treating myself to a pair of Howard Leight impact sports, 50% cheaper than the Debens, but not wanting to scrimp on my hearing protction if the Howards aren't any good. Any thoughts/ experiences? They are worn mostly for rough shooting and I also wear glasses which they need to comfortably fit over - your thoughts would be appreciated. Cheers

Yep hate Greg Wallace the grocer who failed as a Restaurateur and is now a culinary expert - it shows, but he'll be raking it in even if he doesn't know good food when he sees it!
