  1. This ammo is fairly new in the UK anyway don't know about the states and these calibres not all that popular here. You could maybe try some of the yank forums.
  2. Baikal Records I remember these from years ago,do they still make them?
  3. I have a Marlin 1894 in .44mag.Mine is a fairly old one but fires and cycles absolutely in probs. In fact they are better with a little mileage on them, runs them in.Haven't found any plastic so far and i doubt any plastic could of much use in this style of action. However always willing to be put right on things. The side eject allows easy scope fixing to the top of the reciever.
  4. Eley also make a 42g 2 3/4" cartridge, don't know what the proof figure is for these though. IIRC the proof on my yeoman o/u is something like 1480gms or something like that. I was going to try and get some of these eley's but luckly someone gave me an oldish box of eley maximum BB's.

  12. I left a contact list with a farmer (after a forty minute blether)while out and about knocking on doors, didn't hear anything for two weeks thought all was lost. Then out of the blue got the fone call i was waiting for.Just keep at it.
  13. One of the farms i shoot has a number of horses on it,and like you was worried about blazing away near them. But the day came the woodies were making a nuisance of themselves in the next field and the farmer wanted them dealt with,so just made sure the shots were taken in the opposite direction and the horses never showed any sign of concern. And this was with a 12 bore.
  14. When i got back into shooting i went back to one of my old permissions, only to find he had sold most of the land of save for a few small fields to keep a handful of horses in.However he did have a rabbit problem around the farm buildings and his rather large garden, only allowed to use an airgun but prefect tool for the job.

  16. Pointed pellets don't have a very good rep for acuraccy. Most stick to domed pellets for hunting,it's about finding which one works best in your gun.
  17. Have you had it tested,it may well be at or close to the legal limit.I had an old one a while which was dangerously close to the limit with RWS Hobby's.
