  1. Thanks Marmite...... lot of people asking the same stuff - the answers are in the o/p guys! Its pigeons on Rape, it's weekdays only, etc etc..... If you want to go, let me know! I usually just ask for a phone call the day before you want to shoot - booking weeks ahead is mad , pigeons may be long gone then.
  2. That time of year again folks...... Pheasant shooting is nearly done, so we can get on to the pigeons which are hitting the Rape. Places for people who can shoot on WEEKDAYS only - already swamped with offers for weekend shooters! Need your own kit, insurance and to be trustworthy. Cost you £30/day per Gun, and it's close to Hemel Hempstead, Herts. No guarantee of shooting, but there are plenty of Pigeon about, and we do our best to put you in some shooting. Message me for more info. Just been asked the question - Fibre Wads only please folks
  3. Chameau quality has gone right down the pan imo. First pair I had lasted years of hard wearing, now a pair rarely lasts more than a year. I was driving over to the factory every year and bringing back 10 or 15 pairs of seconds for several years, (for mates) and the last couple of lots nearly all failed very quickly compared to earlier purchases. The factory has closed in Brittany now, and production moved to the Far East, but I will be buying Aigle in the future.
  4. lol........and a 'curser' is a user of bad language. Moral : Never be pedantic unless you are perfect!
  5. Hi all, please note that this is an old thread and the dates advertised were from last season! We may indeed have some sport available later on in the coming season, but I will advertise this if I decide to run some dates. Apologies to those who have pm'd All the best, Peter
  6. Got the same BRNO 'Fox' 222. Had it 20 years, was a 'keepers gun before me. Its killed myriads of foxes and will kill myriads more I hope....... the double set trigger is the best thing since sliced bread. Set so light you only have to think 'bang' and it goes - deadly when you learn how to use it. As previous post though - don't set it 'till you are on target, until you are well used to it, or you may have premature discharges, not good.
  7. World's most useless drinker IMHO Birds always pulling the pipe/tee off, emptying tanks/flooding shed/run/pen. Used outside, they don't last long due to sunlight making them brittle. Better than throwing water on the ground - just.
  8. Casually looking around for the above - not in a rush, 'co I want a half decent one! Ticket open to purchase. Must be 2 1/2 inch chamber or better. Whats out there?
  9. Might have one.... need to check the dovetail, it fits my BRNO mod 2. I bought two by mistake when ordering from USA! Short of time right now, will get back to you. Pete
  10. Our pleasure Neil, welcome anytime. We have swiped off some of the maize strips beside the rape fields now - given a day or two for them to find it, might make for some good shooting. Watch this space.
  11. money laundering regs prevent dealers from accepting cash sums above 10k. Most dealers I have bought from are happy with debit card, otherwise, options as above. simple enough.
  12. With the game season behind us, its time to have a crack at the pigeons! Around 300 acres of rape available to shoot over, and plenty of pigeons using it as a restaurant. I make no promises of easy big bags - its rape, and its a big area, although there are some hot spots showing up. If you want to have a day at them, get in touch via pm for details. £20/day with your own kit. Proof of insurance and sight of S.G cert required please!
  13. HUGE! £4 to £8 per acre for the sole rights on good shooting ground is enough, in my book, depending on other facilities. That said, my Maize costs around £400/acre rent, inputs and farming inclusive. But we do the job to a high standard.
  14. Which is why the EC have them on the ban list, presumably!
  15. And from our side of the fence, Gentlemen - you were all a pleasure to host, and will be welcome back anytime. Especially if you bring dry weather with you again!! Thanks for being a sporting bunch of Guns. Peter
  16. 2 pegs left for Weds 13th, 4 on the 20th, 6 spaces left for the walk/stand on the 18th, folks.
  17. Shoot day today folks, so I will get back to the pm answering tonight!
  18. I think I have covered all pms Guys..... its been a bit mad, so if I missed anyone, try again! Still one or two spaces left on all days. Thanks for the interest shown.
  19. All current pm's replied to. Thanks people. Further enquiries welcome! Pete
