I use skeet and 1/4. Mainly because I'm lazy and can't be bothered to change the chokes back over

Four Counties near Newbury is a nice Sunday shoot. Not sure how far you want to travel. It would be about an hour from you I guess.

I average around 30-35, my best is 40/50. I only shoot on average once a month due to work.

A pair of cheap ex army peltor that I paid £6 for. Do they job well enough. I've seen the same ones branded with Beretta and other names selling for £25+ I do like the idea of active defenders, might treat myself to a pair at some point.

How well did we shoot today? 2011 edition.

Joined the CPSA on Tuesday and shot my first registered shoot today at Four Counties in Newbury with a friend. It was also our first 70 bird shoot. Managed to hit 42, which I was happy with, decided one round was just not enough so we went around again and I hit 57. I was over the moon with that -
My whole process also took around the 4 week mark from posting the application to receiving my SGC. I guess some areas are busier than others.

I live in Didcot, Oxfordshire and I kid you not, I see anywhere from 10-20 of these lovely birds each day. Regularly have them flying over the garden. The in-laws even feed them on cheap steak, they are quite happy to land in their garden for a free meal.

How do I go about using this spray to clean my shotgun? Do I just spray the cleaner down the barrels instead of using bore cleaner on the bronze brush? I see it says that it contains a protective oil for barrels, can I spray this directly to the outside of the barrels and then rub down with a oily cloth? Thanks for any replies, I fairly new to shooting and I'm paranoid about keeping my gun as clean as I can and want to make sure I'm doing everything right.

I'm sure I heard something on the radio today about fuel prices hitting £2 by the end of the year! I bloody hope not :(

Thanks for the replies, they are all appreciated I know for sure the stock as not been shorted but the butt pad has had some trimmed off it. How hard/much would it cost to get a new pad fitted if needed? What's involved in a fitting session? I am keen to get a gun and some lessons booked, would a fitting session be included in a lesson? -

Hehe, I've got a chance to use it at a shoot at the end of the month, so I'll be doing so then. I've been using a Baikial O/U with double triggers the last couple of times I've shot and do fairly well with that, so I'm hoping a "better" gun will help me see some improvements -
