  1. If you refer to Mr P Schofield of the tv fame he shoots here and about in the syndicate not a bad shot but is so full of himself as all celebs are Packham is a birdwatch substitute for the goody Mr Bill Oddie nice chap.. Packham..he has publicity madness cant do without it his latest quest is also due to fail. His wild justice action has failed th talks are now being wrote up to be presented for law all due respect though he has a passion for.... Shall i say....HIS SPORT and that is show buisness.. Mr Packham. And. See you at Septembers Shoot Mr. Schofield ..(cut to adverts) thats a rap.
  2. Well today the govt has decided to STOP the cull in ALL areas instead a programe of vacination in both cattle ad badger will take place. This will be done starting in May..Good news as we have still got a well used set .in the wood joining our farm house. Phew thought we would loose the dear friends..Mr Packham did not interfere ...thank god...Ahmen..
  3. Another nail in the cross to bear..
  4. As said but solution is wanted..FAST..
  5. WELL AN MP HAS RESPONDED TO THE Natural England refusal .140.000 people have signed a petition .and it has been passed to Micheal GROVE MP secretary of state DEFRA Now He has passed it to his Dept head for solution and this has WAS muted last week to see if it is workable for ALL CONSERNED The secretary of state CAN AND HAS POWERS TO INTRODUCE legislation to be added to the list. ..Also under the 1981 wildlife and countryside act.So it is feasible...some shooters might not though get access to their land as syndicates and some land owners will get first bite and will obviously get extra shooting days in their calendar AND could then charge members extra for the shooting .Will help everyone all round really cept the lone pigeon shooter who might not get permission but it is sadly that we all should have to apply for a GL05..GL05..GH06
  6. Would you agree that the license fiasco has created confusion in our community? and if so would this be a solution to put it right ..other than leave the license as is. The woodpigeon is a pest.. rather like the rabbit ,but the rabbit is classed as game under the 1831 "poaching act taking of game" .. So would it not be feasible for the woodpigeon to be classed as the same AS GAME.. its meat is eaten like rabbit. and it would have an open shooting/trap/destruction season which would be agreed with farmers as to the time when crops need protection. This would however …..make the: sporting rights and the shooting of them: the right of the sporting rights owners..ie: syndicates and land ownerestates..they could then give permissions th the pigeon shooter..Just a thought but is it worthwhile ..We all would know where we stand as would the objectors..RSPB and all parties.. Good or Bad ??
