naddan, you presuppose that Polish workers are slap dash happy-go-lucky cowboys that charge less and work less. This just isn't the case, they will do a better job than your average fellow countryman for less price. Even if you were referring to an polish accountant that slipped up in that case, which was rather convenient, one person doesn't represent the entire Polish people. The fact that you are worth nothing until you graduate is irrelevant and that you say you can walk from one job into the next once graduated will not be the case when there are masses of Eastern Europeans filling the jobs working minimum wage! Its simple supply and demand!

Wouldn't be too sure about that naddan. Don't know about your uni but mine has its fair share of polish immigrants getting degrees. Why can't they work as an accountant? Nothing to stop them, I'm sure accountancy degrees are fairly european wide standard. Supply and demand. The supply will outstrip the demand driving prices down into the bargain, not to mentions that they will do the job for half what we would consider it because when they take it back to Poland it is worth a fortune.
  3. Thats freakin disgusting! :yahoo:
  4. I've seen the first and it doesn't explain everything. They just had caged monkeys with animal rights nutter setting them loose then cuts to Jim in hospital awakening from a comma. Would have been nice to have known a little background info on it. According to Wikipedia there are plans for a sequel '28 Months Later'. Cant wait!
  5. Cant believe he lost it like that. Thats what they were trying to make him do to discredit him.
  6. Cheers for reminding me. Almost forgot about it!
  7. flash, spoilers, dont spoil it for those who haven't seen it! You think they'll make a 28 years later? Would love to see a sequel but there should be a prequel to see how it all started, where it came from, if it was man made or what.
  8. In other words nick says it **** end of.
  9. Just seen it and it was a great film! Must see if you seen the first one. If you havent seen the first one then you need to see that too!
  10. The optics are different class in the more expensive scopes but vouch for leopold but comparing a becar to a tasco the difference is unbelievable.
  11. On a side note can plasmas be used as PC monitors?

George. You could just read their manifesto or just send them an email regarding your question. BNP wont ever win an election so don't really see how its relevant what their stance is.

No idea about field sports but they do advocate the liberalized use, possession and sale of all types of firearms the last time I looked. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and political beliefs whether perceived good or bad even though I personally do not support the BNP I accept the fact that others may have different views to myself.
  14. Features are as important as the screen. I didn't believe some of these TVs still come without digibox but its true so you wont be able to use it when they switch off the analogue signal unless you buy a box to sit under it! You need HD too. Costco do great prices on TVs.
  15. I may be wrong but isn't fixing a plasma screen tv expensive (like the replacement of the unit)? If you watch tv 24 hours a day then a LCD can be expected to last 3 years but if you take the average of 6h 47m per day multiply it by 365days in a year you get 2190 hours, divide that by 25000 hours quoted and you can expect your TV to last 11.5 years where plasma may last: 6.8 years using same logic. Therefore you would need to repair your plasma 2 times before the LCD breaks at which time there will be newer and better things about.
  16. Yeh want to see it. Looks quite good. Great storyline in the first one. Think there should be a 28 weeks earlier to show how it all started.
  17. Have you been watching 28 weeks later? Need to go and see that myself.
  18. Basically I made this choice a few months ago. Plasma are better from viewing angle point of view, they are wider. They come larger for cheaper and go larger than LCD. I'm told that plasmas are heavier too. Though the big negative is lifespan. When they get old they start burning out cells leaving black marks in the middle. LCD are sharper in image and last longer. They are more expensive and don't go quite as big as plasmas. If they get damp then they are ruined but that goes for most electronic equipment. We chose LCD and not had any problems. Both Samsungs. p.s. Also forgot that plasmas seems to more energy intensive. Hope this helps.
  19. Vista is the new windows ME.
  20. Midges arent that bad c'mon. Take a net if your bothered by them, creams and all that don't work. I've been camping in alot of places in Scotland and never had anyone give me into trouble. I've even camped in a beer garden on one of the islands. People wont bother you if your courteous, not rowdy and take away your rubbish with you which will goes without saying really. Camp fires are alright, not heard of not being able to start them except in some camp sites. Hope this helps.
  21. Tony Blair dead right mate ! hopefully not for much longer Yeh, Gordon Brown!

  24. Went fishing today and enjoyed it so much I'm going to take it up. Though I don't have any kit. Anyone recommend somewhere online to get the kit from? Thanks
