  6. asking on behalf of an old friend................. "I had one, about thirty years ago. Just a plastic rod ye stuck to the end of ye gun. Most basic one they did. And, the first time I used it, I vaporised a running rat, virtually without thinking about it. I believe I did so because I was seeing what looked like a bright red tennis ball tracking the rat. Now, try as I might, all I can find is a load of waffle about Clays, Dominant Eye Correction, and I found a photo of what an " Easy Hit " fibre optic 'bead / sight' looks like. Worthless, to me. I couldn't even see the thing at the end of my barrel! And, let's make this clear: I want to SEE the damn thing. Like I could with my old Single Point. That red ball made me deadly, over night. Without it? I'm hopeless I've searched Google till my head hurts. Anyone got a Single Point I can convince them to sell me?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- can anyone offer any help..B) thanks.. donks.

  9. thanks for this.......... i've been using 5.53's which are tight, and weigh in at 14.4g, just bought a tin of 5.50's and they weigh in at 15.2....... oooooooo' so with these few i have, it appears the wider the head the lighter they are........ all great learning stuff.......... yesterday, i fired through the crono, 2 mags, 8 shots per mag, with the results, i applied to extorians webby, with their pellet weights @ 15.56g... with both figures, i was shooting at 12.3fps... which made me enquire about pellet weights. i ended up, with a friend, buying a set of digital scales to weigh my h & n's.... H&N FTT .22 5,53'S - 14.4g 5,50's - 15.2g. thanks... martyn.

  21. 200 shots were a figure of speech................. 200 shots = practice/practice............
  22. ok, by the sound of your posting, you are a novice, so you should only be shooting at targets at this stage,(NOT LIVE QUARRY) Once you have shot the **** off, of at least 200 targets you should now be knowing how your rifle fires and feels. now should be the learning curve of zero'ing... pace out 30 yrds, with a good backstop, fire another 200 shots and adjust as required. once you can group within 50p piece, then your ready to hunt. i'd advise to go out stalking your quarry without your gun first, to see how close you can get..... (all about field craft now...) DONT FORGET...........you are aiming for a clean kill. i;m sure others will fine tune, but theres the basics.
